Is the glass tinted or clear?

It is tinted.  Kind of dark, but you can still see inside, especially lights.  I think it looks really nice.

How many fans come with the case?

Just one, no led or anything fancy. It has great airflow and an extra fan or two would be just fine.

Question 3

What is the difference between the "G" model and the non G model?  Thank you for the help.

I believe they are the same case but the non-G model is an acrylic window while the G version is a glass window. I have the G and love it but my power button gets stuck on occasion.

If I placed some LED fans in the front of the case, would the color show through? It appears to be a tight mesh for the front.

Yes, I put a Cougar white LED fan in the front and it shows through pretty well.  The fans I have are fairly bright, the mesh does block a fair degree of the light so a dimmer LED might look dull in the front. But mine looks good.

I just got mine - is the fan supposed to be loud?

No it should not be loud. I only have the fan it came with and the GPU card fan. I hear neither unless I am playing a game and the graphics are high. Even then that is the graphics card not the fan in the back.

Is there a big enough gap at the bottom between the power supply cover and side panel window for a LED strip?

Yeah. It looks like it. Maybe a 2mm gap. Enough for one of those thin strips to slip down there. Some double sided tape and you’re good. There’s a gap to bring the wires back to the PSU so you can hide the power connection.

Does anyone know if this case can support an optical drive? I know they're outdated but I would still enjoy having one.

Yes it does. I recently installed an optical drive in my Cougar MX330-G Mid Tower Case so I can listen to my old CDs.

how do I remove the front panel to install intake fans?

Be careful not to pull just from the bottom, outward. I did that because a source online said to, and it ended up breaking two bolts out of their sockets (idk the name so I'm using "bolts". They are the things you push into a hole, and it makes it hard to pull out after pushing it in.) I'd propose you pull from the top AND bottom at the same time.

how do I get the front panel off? sure would be nice to have some intake fans. I tried pulling up and out but it wont budge

Sorry for a simple answer but you just need to pull harder. Pull more out than up and keep trying. It was very difficult to get it off the first time.

Does anyone know how large of a Cpu cooler can be fit inside this case?

most cases will say in the specifications like this one does, it is a 155 mm max CPU cooler height which is enough to fit all but the tallest coolers, that's really the only dimension that matters in terms of the case, it may be too wide for the motherboard but you'll need to check the motherboard
