Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset

Pros: In my opinion this headset is great. It is comfortable, even when worn for an extended period of time. The sound is fantastic, rich and full, and you can get it really loud if you want to. The microphone is detachable and you can position it very easily and it will not move, plus it transmits crisp and clear.

Cons: Fatal1y logos and signature all over it but who cares, its not like your going to be wearing it out in public a lot

Pros: The headset is highly comfortable and ergonomic. It is great for bigger ears and it hugs almost your whole ear. It does not cover the ear. It also has very soft cup-coverings in order to allow for 5+ hour wear. They have extremely heavy bass reflex and great feedback with lower frequencies. They function perfectly for music, games, and chatting. The disconnectable microphone is a nice feature, and it stays in place perfectly unlike many headsets.

Cons: The build quality is less than my pair of Sennheisers. They feel a little cheaper than a more expensive pair. However, they are still good and durable for the price. The volume controller causes uneven sound adjustment for each channel in the lower volume range. You will see a slight fade in the left speaker sometimes when it is quiet.

Overall Review: I have gone through many headsets. Currently, I am in a long-distance relationship that requires headsets so I have much in the way of wear-and-tear with them. I have the Sennheiser PC166 for home use, and they are very high quality. Yet amazingly, the Creative pair have better sound quality due to the enhanced bass. I really like this headset and I would recommend it wholesomely to people who like music. Logitech's headsets are not good for music. I will advise people away from them for musical needs.

Pros: Really comfortable, detachable mic is nice when you just want to listen to some music while you work or don't feel like chatting in-game. Build quality is really nice. These could be considered a little heavy, but it's due to all the padding and good quality drivers. People I game with say I sound alot better than I did with my BT Insignia headphones and my logitech clearchat pros, which ended up breaking after 2 weeks for no apparent reason.

Cons: I have two small compliants with these. First is the fact that the drivers don't deliver well on the high's. Gun-fire sounds great though, but cymbals sound like they're covered in dynamat. Second, Compared to the logitech clearchat pro headphones I had for a week (they stopped working altogether after 2 sessions of gaming), these do not give a great field of sound when playing games.

Overall Review: Other than my complaints, these headphones have been great. The mic sounds clean, although a noise cancelling mic would be a bit better as people on teamspeak can literally hear when a car drives by in the background, and I live on a quiet street.

Pros: The creative headset has a very good detachable mic and when I recorded my self with a audio recorder the sound came in nice and clear and was much more louder than my logitech. The treble on these headsets are much higher than my $20 dollar logitech headset but maybe to much. The earpads block out all outside sound very well when listening to music. The creative headset does not cut out one ear piece when you adjust the volume.

Cons: The bad things about this headset is it is not as nearly as comfortable as my logitech. My logitech had much less pressure on my ears than my creative headset does. The material seems cheap and flimsy they made the creative headset out of.

Overall Review: comfortability=logitech sound= not much crisper sound than the logitech but creative wins because of more treble.

Pros: Absolutely comfortable. Played with counter-strike source to test with and they make all the gun shots sound precise and crisp. Sound's great with music. did i say they are comfortable?.

Cons: Only thing i didnt like was where the control piece is. But thats just personal preference.

Overall Review: Microphone is highly flexible and is quality.

Pros: Unbelievable bass, I mean you can literally feel it Mic sounds top notch, my WOW guildsters say I sound crisp and clear no software to install just plug in and play, forget the USB one, geesh switching between options in Vista is a hassle but this one is just plug in and you're good to go the padding is super soft to the touch, even came with a uber nice leather pouch to store it in

Cons: like mentioned previously the pink and green connectors cant split apart too far, or else it'll surely bust it would of been nice to have tonz of leeway, but oh well these still rock amazingly well!

Overall Review: Creative does it again, top notch

Pros: The headset is extremely comfortable and great sounding. The detachable mic part is also great. The cord is very long too.

Cons: Yeah, the mic just stopped working with very minimal use. The mic was fine and most of the time it was detached in its bag. When I tried it for a online game it just didn't work.

Overall Review: Maybe I just got a faulty mic, who knows. Buy at your own risk. This is quite a bit of money for a mic that could stop working with minimal use.

Pros: Newegg gives refunds.

Cons: Microphone only picks up my voice if i'm right up against it. People complain i'm too quiet with all my output sound options cranked up. The wires on it are thin and cheap. The sound quality is horrible.
