Does this have a battery?

On Creative website i saw that this model has a battery

If it does, I can't find the cover, and I've been running it for years. Pretty sure it is just USB powered, if it has a battery it is an internal lithium recharge job.

Will this work via USB, hooked up to a PS3 for a headset?

USB isn't just for charging, it is how it interfaces with a PC. I doubt however that the unit will work as a USB on the PS3 as it would require specific driver software. I don't know if it helps, but I know that it works on the Xbox One controller using the 3.5mm Line in/Line out cable it comes with and allows you to use either the mic built in to the E1 itself or use any headset with a mic you plug into the E1.

Does this have a good equalizer that can be set through the software?

Only on PC, there are no options/settings/app for mobile applications, on a desktop it has the sound blaster software, nearly identical to the one for the desktop cards

It has a standard tip, center ground female jack. not a four pole jack
