Is this only to be used for headphones or can I plug my 2.1 speaker system into it? Gigabyte onboard audio is shaky at best.

This can power any headphone or speaker setup that uses an auxiliary cable or an optical cable. I currently have it powering my Logitech g560 speakers with the back plugs and my headphones if I plug them in to the front.

will this work 100% with the razer tiamata v2 7.1? because i have yet to find anything that TRULY provides full 7.1 audio for them.........

No, to the best of my knowledge each 3.5mm jack can only provide 3 channels and this only has one. If you look at some phone earbuds that have a 3.5mm there's 3 bands on it Left, Right, and Microphone with each band being a channel. 7.1 is, well, 7 channels with a crossover built in for the .1 that's generally handled by the audio equipment.

If you look at the Razer specifications they say the Tiamata headset requires 4 audio jacks just to get the 7.1 and then a 5th jack for your microphone. You need a 7.1 sound card which this is not. Good luck in your search!

Is this audio card compatible with the Astros A50 wireless headset?

i am not sure if you would not loose some of the benefits of a this DAC considering it will be connected via Bluetooth  i do not believe you would gain from combining the 2 together
