Is this mamory kit compatible with ASRock X99 Extreme4 Motherboard?

It worked in my Extreme4 X99 motherboard.
I believe that this is above the upper limit of memory that Windows 32 can fully utilize. I loaded Windows 64, and had no memory issues, but some of my old software will not reinstall with Windows 64 bit.

If this is a concern to you, you should do a little more research.

Will it fit were DDR3 on current motheborads?

Hey Clifton,

No this RAM will not fit into DDR3 slots as Keoni K has mentioned.  Honestly I would say look into some good DDR3 modules if your motherboard supports DDR3.  DDR3 is cheaper and honestly depending on your use you probably will not see a giant speed improvement.

If your board is a new X99 chipset then you will need to get DDR4 ram slots.  I bought these recently as a sort of cheap "stop gap" because the price to performance just is not there for DDR4 yet.  So I snagged these for the short term as they will work just fine, and when DDR4 becomes more refined I will bump up to something with a lower CAS Latency.

Is there a heatspreader or ramsink that would fit these?

NO, if it doesn't come from factory that way do not attempt to do so.
this is server ram. and the heat spreaders etc.. are mostly for show for increased resale pricing and for game cases. unless there are soft thin fins made of aluminum or copper on RAM they are mostly non functional
