Yes, that is correct.  This is standard, unbuffered, non-ECC memory.

I was wondering if this would be compatible with my MSI 970a g43 MoBo? I just had a ram failure while setting up this rig and have been researching around finding a lot of un compatible ram for this MoBo

Be sure to go on MSI's website and get more info about your motherboard from there. It is never good to just buy RAM, even though that model may work out. If you go to MSI's website, enter in your motherboard model number, you'll be able to find out all sorts of usefull specs on your mobo, including a "RAM compatibility chart!" This RAM chart will show specifics like which RAM brand, speed, pin-array, etc... have been tested with your exact board. Also, if you aren't that interested, just find the newegg link for your board in your order history, on that page it will show you what speed RAM it takes... Order by brand my freind and read forums and customer reviews about each... Happy hunting.
