will they fit a asus Z170-E m.2 slot?

they're universal screws for m.2 slots. ordered some for myself thinking in misplaced mine when it turned out i had another one still attached to the board. so check before you spend $6 on 2 standard screws.

Are thesescrews M2 x 2.5 mm or M2 x3 mm?

3mm. the heads were kind of small, in my opinion, but they did work fine.
