How does the rgb work do you have to have a header for rgb?

It has a USB 2.0 cable that plugs into your motherboard. In Windows it shows up as a USB device. You control it with the NZXT CAM software. As long as you have an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard your are set. No need for an RGB header.

Question 2

Can this cooler be orientated so that the CRYORIG logo is horizontal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, though it may not work depending on the board (if there are VRMs in the way of the bracket).  If there aren't, however, you could swap the orientation of the bracket and face the cooler any way you like.

Question 3

Can you put two fans on this? I am trying to debate whether or not to purchase two kits of 3 fans or one kit of 3 fans plus 2 individual fans for my NZXT S340 Elite (BEAUTIFUL case btw). Looking to do a NZXT Software RGB ness. Will also get the HUE+.

I believe so, it does come with extra clips for an additional 120mm fan. It also depends on how many available fan ports you have on your mobo

Is there a way to turn off the Cryorig LED when the computer is off? Currently mine stays lit green all the time.

With the CAM software yes but otherwise it'll stay on. It's annoying because you need to turn both off to turn the lights off entirely when your computer is turned off or asleep and to turn them back on you have to open CAM again and enable them again.

Does it include the AM4 bracket out of the box?

Yes, the brackets are included. You will have to remove old m/b back plate, and install the new included one. Same with he front bracket. It will seem loose once you have everything tighten down, but when you attach the air cooler it will tighten.

what kind of voltage does this require ? what power supply is recommended with it ? do the LEDs turn off after system shutdown ?

The Lumi is powered by USB; it has 2 wires;  one is the USB power that connects to one of your motherboard's USB headers/connectors.  The second wire is for the cooling fan, which plugs into your mother board  fan header or fan controller or where ever.  The fan lights up in WHITE led only.  Of course you can replace the fan with a different 120mm fan if you want.

The voltage to power it is automatic.. it plugs into your motherboard so I don't see how you would need to know what voltage... just plug it in.  Power supply voltage amount DOES NOT MATTER.  Its just a bunch of LEDs and a fan... doesn't use much power.

The LEDs MAY or MAY NOT turn off; it depends on your power supply.  MOST power supplies have a switch on them to turn the power supply on and off.  This is NOT the switch that turns your computer on and off.  I havent seen every power supply in the world so I cant say if ALL of them have a switch... but when you build your own computer, MOST of them have a switch.  If you leave that switch on which is what MOST people do, that means power is always going to your computer and its USB ports even when you shut your computer OFF.  So that means the Cryorig Lumi LEDs WILL STAY ON after system shutdown. 
 (not the fan LEDs though since the fan turns off when you shutdown, so will the fan LEDs) 
 If you want the LEDs to shut off after shut down you will have to do one of the following 3 things:

1)  Open the CAM software used to control the Lumi, and turn the LEDS off before shutdown
2)  Turn the power supply switch OFF 
3)  Unplug your power supply form the wall.

Question 7

does this work with Asus Aura Sync?

It works with Nzxt hue stuff and Cam software. I believe it doesn't sync directly with aura sync.

Question 8

Can someone tell me if i can switch the fan out for 2 corsair ll fans? i seen the question for the sp fans but im not sure if the LL fans are any different.

I believe it’s possible to swap a 120mm fan. My H7QL has metal brackets that fit into the fan screw holes to connect the fan to the heatsink. Compare fan specs. I’m 99% sure you could stick fans on each of the sides of the heatsink if that’s what you mean. The quad lumi heatsink LEDs plug into a usb header on the motherboard, and the fan into the cpu fan header, but not sure about the LL wires and software. I use CAM software for the heatsink LEDs, would Corsair have to be with CUE? Hope this helps lol. Sounds like a cool setup. Good luck!

Question 10

Does this cooler come fully compatible with Coffee Lake motherboards? I've heard it requires spacers not included in the box

The Cryorig is by far the worst piece of junk ever manufactured in China for Intel Kaby Lake CPU's PERIOD!

They never even tested it or tried to install their flimsy piece of garbage because it is wobbly  even after struggling with it for 8 hours, trying every possible way to make it sturdy.

I ended up throwing it in the trash since I carried mine from the USA to Asia where the shipping cost back to the USA is more than this piece of garbage from China is worth.

In addition one of the cheap plastic black fins was broken when I first opened the box. Keep in mind I hand carried mine so that it could not get damaged.

For God's sake buy something else!
