No hot water reservoir, but it makes a full tank of hot coffee taking no longer than 2 mins.  I use mine everyday, making 12 oz. and sometimes 2 times a day. You can set the timer to come on when you want and also set the stay on hot timer for how long you want.
I owned the older model before this one and loved it. The older model lasted 3 yrs. before it just stopped brewing.

This model has a removable water reservoir and a little light where the coffee dispenses into your cup.

I also used to have the Bunn with the hot water reservoir, and since that model, this has been my favorite coffee maker.

With all coffee maker having some much electronics and circuitry to brew.... they are limited on life span, but for the price of this model.... it is a good deal.

The first one Newegg sent me was DOA, I called Manufacture and went through their troubleshooting process and then returned to Newegg and was sent a replacement that works.
