Great cheap card!

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card 43GGS8HX3SPZ
Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card 43GGS8HX3SPZ

Pros: It delivered a good performance at a good price. I just installed this card into my friends standard size computer case as a Early Christmas present and upgraded her from a ASUS 7600gt silent. Unless you have a abnormally small computer case. This compact card will fit just fine. It plays the new W.O.W. Cataclysm on all high settings with no lag or strobing at X8 Antialiasing. I think with a little more tweaking in the game settings it may do even better with a custom setting rather than a default on high. Anyways, the card did what it was supposed to do and preformed great and works with a 300 watt PS with no pin connectors. Just pop it in the PCI-E slot and install the drivers, restart your computer and your up and running.

Cons: the only thing I can see as a very minor con would be it is not SLI ready.

Overall Review: I am a ATI guy myself and I like crossfire/SLI. Although I like this card and I think it would be a great one to have already installed into prefabbed computers if they have not done so yet.

Most Critical Review

I REALLY wanted this to work... :'(

ASUS Radeon HD 5870 X2 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity ARES/2DIS/4GD5
ASUS Radeon HD 5870 X2 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity ARES/2DIS/4GD5

Pros: The card looks fantastic and the case was really cool with the 3200 dpi mouse inside with it.

Cons: The design of the card must of looked really great on paper I am sure, but in all my life I have never had so much trouble with a graphics card[s]. {yes I had 2 in crossfire and both had the problem} I even tried to run these cards one at a time with w new install of windows each time!! Thats how bad I wanted at least 1 of them to work for me :( Blue screen of death on most restarts. The hdmi sound driver would nnot install or would go missing and the AMD HDMI icon in windows 7 volume control would either show it was not plugged in or was just missing. ASUS phone support techs did their best to help but no solution could be found. Thanks ASUS.. E+ for effort at least :) Also was happy with ASUS for using people who used English as their only language and live here in the USA and didn't charge for premium tech support. Take that HP LOL

Overall Review: I really do love ATI and ASUS products and as I am looking at the better reviews here. I wonder if I got the bad luck of getting 2 bad cards, but I am not going to replacing them just to possibly go through hell all over again! I had really high hopes for this build and wanted this build to work sooo badly since it was going to be my very first build and I had the money to get nothing but the best parts and had a good friend who builds servers and computers guild me in this endeavor. Murphy's law I guess... BTW THANK YOU NEWEGG and the great service guy for making the RMA sooo easy. As soon as I get the refund. I am getting some other top end cards through newegg for my build.

Still going after all these years

SILVERSTONE ST1500 1500W ATX 12V 2.3 & EPS 12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Active PFC Full Modular Power Supply

Pros: I bought this back in 2010 and its still going strong! Runs my cards in SLI no problems with power to spare for everything else .

Cons: none

For home or on the road, this is a good choice

Martin Ranger HD-DVD880 Professional Recordable Karaoke Media Player
Martin Ranger HD-DVD880 Professional Recordable Karaoke Media Player

Pros: This karaoke player hooks up easy at home or to your road box. It plays regular CD-G and DVD karaoke discs just fine, and works with HDMI or RCA video cords. Its even works well with a coaxial converter box and shows up fine on channel 3 unlike another Martin Ranger player. Easy use for a right handed person. Recording is too simple, just press one button on the remote and have a thumb drive in the usb slot and you're recording yourself sing. Also Works with memory cards to like the ones found in cameras.

Cons: Long gone are the days of the JVC karaoke players like the JVC MV 303-BK that had flawless sound when you did a key change. Like all other karaoke players I have personally seen now of days. When you do a key change up or down on this player. You get a wavering sound.

Overall Review: Also if you use the controls on the machine. The play/pause and eject button are a little too close for those of us with bigger fingers, but you get used to it.

I highly recommend this!

Netgear N450-100NAS N450 Wireless Gigabit Router + High Speed Cable Modem – DOCSIS 3.0
Netgear N450-100NAS N450 Wireless Gigabit Router + High Speed Cable Modem – DOCSIS 3.0

Pros: This modem/router seem to take in and spit out more bandwidth than I am supposed to be getting at times when I test my speed in speedtest.net. I get a great signal from anywhere in my house to. Gaming on my PC hasn't been this good in a long time. Setup was simple. I just plugged in all the necessary cords, called my ISP to verify the new modem and I was back up in 10 minutes from start to finish.

Cons: none so far.

Overall Review: I accidently broke my modem when rearranging things around, so I had to get a new one quick. I would've bought this here on newegg if it wasn't for my circumstance and avoiding the sales tax. Regardless I am very glad I did. It is soooo much better than my old router and now I have both a very fast modem and router all in one that takes less space.

Review #2

HP Laptop 2.00GHz 2GB Memory 160GB HDD VGA: Yes 14.1" Windows 7 Professional 6910P
HP Laptop 2.00GHz 2GB Memory 160GB HDD VGA: Yes 14.1" Windows 7 Professional 6910P

Pros: I paid $195 for the laptop here on newegg. 2nd time's the charm and now I got a laptop that is fully functional from DLS! Also unbeknownst to me, I was given for free an upgrade to 4 gigs of ram and a 300 gig hard drive for my trouble for the first one not working :)

Cons: It was too bad the first laptop I received didn't work as per my first review. so this took a lot of extra time to remedy. But as you can see in the pros. DLS made up for that.

Overall Review: Even though HP were not the one who refurbished the laptop. Jim (the main customer service rep) at DLS (discount laptop shop) and whoever did refurbish the laptop were very helpful and patient with me and worked through every and all problems professionally as fast as they humanly could. To the guys at DLS, If you read this. Thank you very much and especially to you Jim!
