So much sound
Pros: Clean enclosure, low frequency responsiveness compared to others in price range, Yamaha Brand, WATTS AND WATTS of Sound, without drawing that manny WATTS (haha?)
Cons: Down firing makes this a horrible application for second story apartment residents. I bought this before my move onto a floor level residence and the people downstairs are furious with this new speaker. It turns their room into a resonating sound box making it horrifically annoying to them. That isn't really the product's fault at all as when sat on ground level, sound is redirected properly and sounds AWESOME!!!!
Overall Review: Overall, for the power draw, size, and price, I was absolutely shocked it put out that much bass. This thing shakes the walls, the dishes in the kitchen some 30 feet away, and apparently my neighbor's last nerve.
Above average
Pros: Inexpensive, decent build quality, very nice connectors and insulation, no noise.
Cons: Owned for 3 months, as of today the cable needs replacement. Used it in my car to plug my phone it. Cable was tugged on, messed with, and just moved around a lot for 3 months and now the left channel audio is intermittently cutting out on me.... Note that this lasted longer than the last cable I got which was a Monster that lasted 1 month.
Overall Review: I wish I could find cables that don't break under heavy use. I live in the desert where my car gets as hot as 150F and I go through a few aux cables a year. This one was rather good and held up to a LOT of abuse but at the end, it met the same fate as most other cables... one channel starts cutting out. Would buy again for the price but this time around I think I'm gonna try get something thicker.
Rock solid, high performance, excellent deal
Pros: handles a tad bit of overclocking to match higher bus speeds for OCing on the mobo, has run solid for over 14 months now
Cons: This set did not mix well with a similarly Spec'd SPD RAM from another brand - the other kit was of lesser capacity and this was enough... but this is the first time I've ever seen this happen.
Well, it works. Its cheap. What else do you want?
Pros: This is the 2nd time I've bought this adapter, and its the second time I'm very happy with it! -Fully functional audio passthrough -compliant with several HDTV's I've tried it with, and 5 different monitors (I use these to run triple screen desktop)
Cons: The black version was a couple bucks more. The back of my case was black, my monitor cables were black, my desk is black. Stop trying to milk money out of me. That kind of upset me that someone would do that, but hey, supply and demand I guess. I'd rather get a better deal and just wrap them up in a black wrap instead.
Overall Review: Its the cheapest Mini-DP to HDMI adapter I could find that looked respectable. I've had one in use for the better part of a year now and it hasn't frayed internally or anything... I take the desktop to LAN's and move my desk around a lot so it does take a lot of 'wear and tear'. Overall, very well built product and 100% functional. Happy enough to buy it again sometime later.
Entry level price, Entry level monitor
Pros: -Inexpensive -Thin design will make it nice to wall-mount -Uses standard power cord -LED backlit means the screen stays cool -OSD is intuitive and easy to use, but limited (see below) -DVI and VGA cables provided
Cons: -TN Type panel, as with all screens in this price range, have gross color gradients -Either the Panel on this screen is really bad or the Anti-Glare coating is over-done. Text is more fuzzy than the VH238H I already have. -Stand is sturdy, holds the monitor still. If you shake the desk though, the monitor stand does recoil A LOT. If you have a flimsy desk, you need a sturdy stand. This is not a sturdy stand. I happen to have a solid desk but I noticed when moving my desk with these screens on it, the VS238H (compared to my VH series) would wobble like crazy. They stay put though. -No built in cable organizer. Minor point but I like having one on my main screen. Neither of these were main screens though so I didn't care much. -OSD doesn't have very good 'tweakability' in certain modes
Overall Review: It was cheap and it came with a rebate. It was one of the cheapest TN based 1080p screens that were bigger than 22" (I wanted something to match the 23" I already had) I bought two of these to pair up with a VH238H and I have some mixed feelings about this. The Antiglare on this panel is over-done and impedes text readability to me. Moving stuff around on desktop composition is also a tad fuzzy leading me to believe there might be some interpolation going on, but this could be my graphics card failing to handle 3 monitors correctly. I'm also using cheap adapters soooo yeah. grain of salt there. Considering that this is one of the cheapest 23" 1080P screens available, I would say this is a great buy. It is not the highest quality, but ASUS backs their products like a champ. One of two screens came with a single dead pixel. by ISO standards, this is not enough to warrant a replacement of any kind, and to be honest, anyone who buys this monitor should not complain about it.
Impressive
Pros: Hardware is pretty standard. Nice antenna array gives ridiculous coverage of my medium townhouse across all 3 floors, and this thing is on the top floor! The interface on this thing. The first time I logged in my hair just blew back when I laid eyes upon an interface that SOMEONE PUT EFFORT INTO MAKING! For reals I've gone through a lot of routers, setting them up for various clients and this one has by far given me the least amount of fuss EVER. Set up was incredibly easy and this thing has every.single.feature.you.want. The only thing it's missing is multiple/guest SSID which is totally fine because they include it in the next model up. I didn't get that because I didn't need it.
Cons: There are no cons to this router. I mean really, it performs flawlessly. After a bit over a week of having it up and running, not a single hiccup in connectivity on LAN and wireless. The GUI is a pleasure to use. And it literally has everything. NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT HERE!
Overall Review: As someone who works in IT/Networking, specifically, I picked this up fully expecting a cheap router. I went with ASUS simply because my buddy raved about it a lot and I WAS THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED. This is a very well done router inside and out. I am more impressed with the sheer fact that someone actually put effort into the interface like ASUS did. Not that its totally needed but its so easy to set up.... Yes I know how to go into any router and set up my own statics and subnets, but when its THIS EASY to let the router do it all in a matter of a couple keystrokes... I had this thing up and running on a custom LAN, static IP from my modem and set up routing and FTP... From the box to couch I got this thing done in 30 minutes. Considering I'm a perfectionist of sorts when setting this stuff up, I'm very happy I didn't have to sit here with firmware that sucks like most low end stuff. 100% Recommended and WILL be buying more!
