Pros: Updated bios to 1703 on Crosshair V, removed my old Phenom 980, dropped the 8350 in....and booted up no problem....had it up to 4.7 on 1.4625 volts in no time..idles at around 36...Probably hit 5ghz no problem..also opened up more memory speed options...2133 and 2400 are now selectable...
Cons: Only weird thing is that my wei cpu score dropped from a 7.5 with my old processor to 7.3 with the 8350...re-ran the assessment a few times...no change..should have went uo to a least a 7.7-7.8 like other reviewers have stated..
Other Thoughts: Good upgrade to future proof your system...An eight core processor running at 4.7 for $219.00...cant beat it...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Was originally going to go with either 680's in SLI or a 690..but the prices for them are insane...I saw these cards for under $200 a piece, which is awesome since they were like over $500 a piece new when they came out.. Replaced my Sapphire 5850's with two 480's...wow...what a difference!!...WEI went from a 7.6 to a 7.9, all games running on max graphics with 60+ frames...
Cons: Yes they run hot, and yes they are power hungry...You can feel the super hot air blowing out of the cards. I am running these on a Crosshair V...plenty of space between pcie slots, and I also purchased the EVGA Backplates which help disspate heat. I am powering these with a Thermaltake TP XT 850, seems to be running fine.
Other Thoughts: Buy these before they sell out...Sure, the 670 and 660ti will probably beat these out...but for the price of these, you cant beat it!!....Even though they are two generations behind, the 480's were flagship cards..READ FULL REVIEW

Other Thoughts: My advice to anyone buying this board is to purchase an aftermarket water block...EK makes the best one..its a full board block....I changed mine...and what a difference!!..with just the block installed without the water, my temps on the NB went to 45 deg idle...huge dirrerence!!...once I add water...should drop even more!!READ FULL REVIEW
