Pros: Good performer. I have it in an e-sata external enclosure for my HD DVR cable box and it doesn't miss a beat. It is reading/writing when ever we are watching cable or when the DVR is recording so it has a very high duty cycle. I have it in a Roswell case with a fan to keep it cool.

Cons: There is a jumper on the back that has to be removed to get 3Gb/sec. If you don't know about it or are in a hurry you may miss it.

Overall Review: I tried some older drives and other cases for the DVR and they didn't work well.

Pros: Norton Antivirus is less invasive than before and performs pretty well. No real problems with the product, just the rebate card.

Cons: The rebate card that is available on occasion doesn't work like other debit/credit cards. Frequently, at time of purchase, the card is denied, so you have to pay using another method, but the card is actually charged, reducing the balance. Card customer service says you have to go back to the merchant and get your money back. How do you prove you paid cash for something without a receipt? I lost over half my card value and I have learned a valuable lesson regarding Symantec Rebates.

If you read the latest chain of reviews you can clearly see that this seller has no intention of filling an order. Don't even think about buying from this seller. Whether it is intent or incompetence, it really doesn't matter, don't waste your time or money. This is the second marketplace seller I have used on Newegg and both experiences have been poor. I have learned my lesson now. In my opinion, Newegg isn't doing its loyal customers any favors by providing access to poor performers like this. Prior to the Marketplace, I have had 100% satisfaction with Newegg. Now I will pay more attention to who if filling my order when I use Newegg.
