Most Critical Review

Unusable as a monitor

30" Yamakasi 300 LED SPARTA Premium AH-IPS LED 2560x1600 HDMI DVI-D DP Monitor 2013 new model LED backlight
30" Yamakasi 300 LED SPARTA Premium AH-IPS LED 2560x1600 HDMI DVI-D DP Monitor 2013 new model LED backlight

Pros: - Cheap

Cons: - Doesn't go to 2560x1600 as advertised; only capable of 2560x1440; seems to have the wrong controller board installed (not an issue with my graphics card). - Runs very hot; it's uncomfortable to work next to the monitor for more than 20 min. - Pitch cannot be adjusted, so it's at an uncomfortably low angle when placed directly on a desk. - Frequently glitches when hotplugging, requiring a power cycle.

Overall Review: I ended up just using it as a TV. It works well for that purpose, but it's useless as an external monitor due to the aforementioned issues, and you can get a TV with a bigger diagonal (but lesser resolution) for 1/4 the cost.

Scroll wheel doesn't function properly

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 for Business Silver/ Black 4 Buttons 1 x Wheel Laser 1000 dpi
Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 for Business Silver/ Black 4 Buttons 1 x Wheel Laser 1000 dpi

Pros: Compact form-factor Back button is conveniently positioned Connected flawlessly to Linux (Arch w/ Gnome) Design is fairly visually appealing

Cons: If you scroll at a normal rate, the scroll wheel fails to properly detect the motion, which causes the screen to scroll very slowly or even backwards. In order for the wheel to function properly, it must be scrolled very slowly. It may be too small for some people's hands, and it's certainly too small to comfortably rest my palm on it; I hold it with my fingertips. This is a necessary tradeoff for portability, however. Overall, the mouse feels rather cheaply made. I'm returning it and buying a different model.
