Love it!

EVGA 03G-P4-2884-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card
EVGA 03G-P4-2884-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

Pros: Performance: It's a beast. Assassin's Creed 4, Far Cry 3, Bio Shock Infinite, and tons of other games all run unbelievably well. I'm only using a 1080p screen currently, so for a card this high end, it's to be expected, but still: every game I've played has a consistent, smooth frame rate well over 60 FPS in all but the most intensive situations (and even then, I've yet to see it drop under 50 for more than 2 or 3 frames). Software: both NVIDIA "GeForce Experience" and EVGA's "Precision X" are surprisingly useful and well made. I'm used to software that accompanies things like graphics cards and motherboards being borderline bloatware, but the game optimization and the recording and streaming in Experience and the tuning and overclocking utilities in Precision X are nice to have. Physical build: I'm way under-qualified to make any scientific statements about the quality, but just from holding it and installing it, it feels very sturdy and well made. I wish it had come with a backplate, as there's quite a lot of exposed circuitry (as with all cards), and I have pretty clumsy hands. Luckily I got it install with no troubles. Noise: It's not silent, but it's very, very close. For a flagship card, it's way quieter than I expected. I can barely hear it, even at 100% fans. The CPU and case fans I'm using (rather meh ones), are significantly louder, and they're not even loud. Temperature: Just as it's surprisingly quiet, it's surprisingly cool. With prolonged, real-world loads, the highest temperature I've seen is 71C and that was with a fairly high 23C ambient. With an Arc Midi R2 with stock fans and 22-23C, it idles around 25-28C which is astounding. EVGA truly has built a wonderful cooling system in this card. In short: * Absolute beast of a card * Free Assassin's Creed 4 * Good software * Very good build quality * Very cool under load (71C max in Arc R2 Midi with stock fans) * Extremely cool idle (25-28C in 22-23C ambient)

Cons: I rarely buy graphics cards, so I've no idea if it's normal or not, but for a ~$700 card, a backplate should really be included. Even more annoying, EVGA is currently out of stock on 780 Ti backplates and has been since mid December. In short: * No backplate included

Overall Review: It's a top of the line product in performance, quality, and unfortunately, price. A card 90% as capable can be bought for 70% or less of the price, but if you truly want the best of performance, or you have the extra cash, it's well worth it.

Needs a better CPU

WD My Book Live 3TB Personal Cloud Storage
WD My Book Live 3TB Personal Cloud Storage

Pros: - High capacity - Good deal (got it on sale significantly cheaper than normal price) - Good management panel (overall)

Cons: - The CPU is too weak -- the box is basically limited to 1 connection at a time. While there's a transfer going, the box strains to even navigate through folders. - The service that provides the 'cloud' type software makes me a little uncomfortable. I shouldn't have to log into a third party to access my own hard drive. Makes no sense. I'm sure they did it for usability reasons, but it's still a bit annoying.

Overall Review: The CPU is the only reason it's 3 stars. It seems like a minor complaint, but the weak CPU cripples the entire purpose of the product. It's unacceptably annoying to be limited to 1 concurrent transfer or face the terrible slowness of the CPU.

Great value, but remember the price point

XIGMATEK eXTREME SILENT Series XSF-F1252 120mm Case Fan with FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing), 4 in 1 package CFS-SXGJR-KU3
XIGMATEK eXTREME SILENT Series XSF-F1252 120mm Case Fan with FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing), 4 in 1 package CFS-SXGJR-KU3

Pros: You'd be hard pressed to find a meaningfully better fan for the price. They're decently quietly, decently constructed, and cheap as can be.

Cons: Unshielded wires are a bit annoying, though really just from an aesthetic perspective. Also, at full speed, they are certainly far from silent. At the same time though, they're not marketed as any kind of "silent" or low noise series, and they're just a few bucks a piece. What can really be expected?

Overall Review: For what they are, they're great. If you have the money or the desire, yeah, get something a little better finished that makes less noise. If you're not a silencephile though, and you need a few fans that can push a moderate amount of air, these are perfect for a budget.

High quality fan for a decent price

Fractal Design Silent Series R2 140mm Silence Optimized Hydraulic Bearing Black/White Computer Case Fan
Fractal Design Silent Series R2 140mm Silence Optimized Hydraulic Bearing Black/White Computer Case Fan

Pros: I'm far from an expert on fans, but these feel sturdy with firmly mounted fans in relatively strong frames. The wires are wrapped up in some sleeving, which is expected in this price range, but nice nonetheless. As for noise, these are surprisingly quiet. At full speed they are barely audible from a few feet away, and at anything less than full speed, you almost have to be watching them run to even know they're on.

Cons: No meaningful cons.

Would be great if it worked

Western Digital My Net N900 HD Dual Band 7 Gigabit Ports Wireless N Router WiFi
Western Digital My Net N900 HD Dual Band 7 Gigabit Ports Wireless N Router WiFi

Pros: Great features: dual band N, 5 GHz, 2 USB ports for hard drives, 7 (7!!!) gigabit ports

Cons: The router is too unstable and unreliably for the great features to ever be usable. The wired connections work great, but the wireless is absolutely worthless. Once or more a day, the router requires a restart due to stalled wifi connections. In a 600 square feet apartment with 4 wireless devices and relatively few nearby competing devices, this should not be a problem. I believe there to be a memory leak or processes not dying out. After a bit of wireless use, the router no longer functions. The connection is there, just no data will pass through. Also, no idea if it's a problem with the phones or with the router, but both my iPhone 5S and a Galaxy S3 always have trouble with the router, even when my laptop is connecting fine. Somehow, considering it's two extremely widely used phones from two different companies, I imagine it's the router's fault.

Overall Review: If you get a (very) good deal, and you're looking for a wired-only router, this might be worth it for the high number of ports and USB slots. Otherwise, avoid it at all costs. It's been nothing but a $100 brick of disappointment and frustration.

Great product

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PD256BW
SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PD256BW

Pros: Incredibly fast, like unbelievably fast compared to a disk hard drive

Cons: Higher GB/$ ratio would be nice, but the speed is very well worth the relatively small capacity
