Gaming BEAST
Pros: Just as fast as my Haswel i7 stock, but lower TDP. AND CHEAPER! I went with this ivybridge model as it was faster than the haswel ones with the turbo clock. You can over clock them a little bit via the bus, but don't expect to get too much out of it. I got mine up to 3.9ghz, was trying to go for 4 but it just wasn't gonna happen. Still my fire strike score with 2 290X cards is over 15000. Not bad at all for a 200 some dollar CPU.
Cons: Locked multiplier, but meh
Overall Review: I wasn't sure about Xeon for gaming, but if you can live without overclocking your cpu, this thing FLYS at stock speeds. and the Case badge is just super sick seeing XEON, specially in CPU-Z
Missleading
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: It's just that, cheap.... The images of the item were obviously photo shopped. What I got was what seemed to be cheap gym sweat pants in the form of a jacket. The hood is so tiny it was designed for a baby's head. The color was light grey like K-mart sweats. There was no tone distinguished from the rest as shown in the pictures where it looks dark and edgy.
Overall Review: Ripp off, and costs too much to bother ship back for a return.
Heat Sinks on SO-DIMM PEOPLE!
Pros: It looks amazing, super slick and cool to the touch. Runs fast!
Cons: You can't ever see it unlike in a desktop. But you will at least know it's there. Some where in your laptop memory with heatsinks......... XD
Overall Review: I thought about cutting out an acrylic window to view my sexy new ram from the outside. Apparently it voids the warranty of my asus gaming notebook.
So far So Good
Pros: Beautiful, super clean lines, amazing afterburner style air vents. Which is why I purchased this computer. Every gaming notebook I have owned always suffered from horrid cooling. Why these engineers still think it's a good idea to draw in air from the bottom with like literally no clearance other than a tiny rubber feet, and shoot it out the side are crazy. This design finally made sense. Air comes in from above, and shoots straight out the back, with not just one fan sharing the GPU and CPU, but 2!!!! This baby stays really cool, I have the GTX 765M overclocked 130mhz and not a problem. The CPU as well stays quite cool.
Cons: The Bios SUCKS!!! I woulda thought it would have a neat bios loaded with customizations. I mean after all it is a thousand dollar gaming laptop. But instead you get the junk basic list of changing your boot drive and thats it. This bugs me because my memory isn't running at 1600 but instead around 900!! and theres no way to change that. So obviously im heated about that and have been looking into ways to unlock the bios without bricking it or voiding the warranty. I want the speed that I paid for, 900 doesn't cut it. Also, Get a SSD!!!! I decided to see if the HDD would be enough and ehhhhhh, kinda hit n miss. It doesn't take a long time to boot up, but theres a few things that take time n a SSD would solve that right quick. It has 2 drive slots so you might as well fill the other up anyways. My new corsair drive fixed that right up.
Overall Review: So aside from the ram speed putsing about, I have enjoyed everything about this beautiful machine. Aside from the screen which I kind of have mixed feelings about. something about it looks rich n deep, and then at times it also looks cheap and bad lit. But I've never been a fan of matte displays anyways. I'll take a rich glossy screen any day and deal with the reflection that look at a muttled screen. I aint gaming outside or anything!
clumsy but works
Pros: Creates a clean appearance for desk space management. No more having to leave a loose usb cable about. It also keeps me from having to constantly open the USB tab on my phone which I hear can get worn out quickly. Price was really cheap compared to the crazy price of these cradles at launch.
Cons: Well I can't speak for the Sony version of these docks, but I'm assuming you get what you pay for. This cradle feels very cheap, and charging the phone on contact is hit n miss. Got to angle it just right and heaven forbid don't touch the device afterwards. Very finicky.
Overall Review: Was it worth the cost of 8 bucks? sure why not. It has been nice to set it down to charge while watching a movie or something at work. Long as you don't mess with the device while its charging this could be a good deal.
Massive
Pros: Beautiful crafted device, was worried about the purple color but it ended up looking super nice. People are always staring at it and asking questions. It's massive, but not really all that intrusive. Sony made this so thin, holding it actually feels better than my previous smaller Samsung Note 2. I was able to sell my tablet and make this my all in one device. I have not even used my laptop since. The screen is the best part. Some large phones have horrible resolution. It's a big screen, yet the screen space is just blown up and defeats the purpose of a bigger device. This one is perfect, and Movies, games, and other media just look outstanding. The Reality engine surely makes this device rise over the rest.
Cons: Ok nice as this device is there are some iffy draw backs that have come to my attention over the weeks. Despite what the specs say, the battery just doesn't hold up what so ever. Expected from this device, but still a shame to know thats still an issue. The casing despite looking amazing is actually pretty cheap. Ive already nicked 2 corners, and the pieces that plug over the ports is super cheap and got bent rendering it's water proofing capabilities useless. Another note is the charge port, it's pretty weak, and Sony recommends using the magnetic wireless charger. Though of course that costs extra.
Overall Review: The 5" version of the Z1 is the device to have, however I really wanted to have the bigger screen. They made some cutbacks on the Ultra, but the price wasn't horrible so meh. I say go for it!
