Most Favorable Review

not bad

OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2RPR10664GK
OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2RPR10664GK

Pros: 1066 with am2+ phenom 940, passed memtest with no errors, tested for about an hour.

Cons: Rebate was a pain. Won't know if its reliable for a few months since thats how long it takes.

Overall Review: Had to configure my ta790gx xe mobo to read it as 1066, it defaulted to 400, then wouldn't go higher than 800. After manually setting the timings, it would still stay at 800. Then the pc crashed eventually, and voila, 1066 speed now. Got me.

i'm not too happy

OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2RPR10664GK

Pros: It seemed to work, not too expensive after rebate, 1066 possible speeds, looks neat

Cons: After experiencing random program crashes and some BSOD's, I ran memtest86 all night on it. 11 errors first run through, and over 260 errors in 6 hours. I'm not too happy.

Overall Review: Well if there were no errors, I'd be pleased. Rebates haven't come in yet, but we'll see if they do I guess. Maybe I should have stuck with the G. Skill's they've been good to me for a while on my last purchase. Hopefully the lifetime warrenty is valid, except even if it is, I'm out of a computer until something happens.

Looking Good

ASUS RT-AC56U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1200 Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Asus Certified

Pros: It works good both 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ bands. Supports Merlin Firmware.

Cons: N/A

Overall Review: Stands vertical - would prefer horizontal.

Update

OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector
OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector

Pros: It can actually do 3d.

Cons: No support

Overall Review: To continue, if you search hard enough there are ways to force the resolution to stay at 120hz during the 3d setup. The only support is the "search" function, albeit a headache gamble, and hope for the best. Optoma needs to get their act straight on this one.

Not what I expected

OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector
OPTOMA GT700 WXGA 1280x800 2300 ANSI Lumens 3D Compatible Game Time DLP Projector

Pros: It's a short throw projector with a decent 2d picture.

Cons: 3d is a gimmick and an expensive one.

Overall Review: So I bought this around 8 months ago. Never really got to use it until recently I get my condo. I've had a 3d ready Nvidia gt 260 core 216 for a while now and always wondered what 3d would look like. So now I drop a few hundred more and got a pair of the nvidia 3d version 2 glasses for me and a possible visitor thinking how great this is going to be. One problem, THIS PROJECTOR IS NOT NVIDIA CERTIFIED. If you go to a direct competitor's site they label it Nvidia certified (ZON). I call nvidia, they say it's not Nvidia Certified. I call Optoma and all he says is if you want 3d you got to get a gt720, but this one won't work. If you look anywhere, this is a 3d ready projector. Even on Optoma's website it says it's 3d. "Just hook it to your 3d ready computer". I feel ripped off!!! Anyone want to buy this one?

unleashing potential

G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) FM-25S2S-120GBP2
G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) FM-25S2S-120GBP2

Pros: -ssd technology -fast reads/writes -silent -just awesome

Cons: -it could "not work" at any time -the storage price is high

Overall Review: I made the switch from a wd raptor x 150gb model. That beast was 200 bones when I bought it. Now it stores steam for me leaving the ssd is in charge. That raptor is lOuD, and I mean scary under heavy load. My reasoning for the upgrade? Why have a quadcore all-in-one machine and have to wait for the disk to stop tearing itself apart trying to load the goods?
