Prime Power and Cost

Pros: -Modularity -Design -Length of cables (for a midsize case, there is plenty of length for the 8pin CPU) -Cost -Packaging
Cons: none yet from what I can tell
Overall Review: Always recommend Seasonic. When it comes to power supplies, Seasonic has been my go-to for over a decade (granted, I've only ever needed one power supply per machine and have only built a few machines). I like their performance, the modularity, the high-quality capacitors (I still hope because I don't want to void the warranty on this one). Their packaging is quite sexy too, on top of a reasonable warranty. I will, of course, update the review should anything change. For the little extra difference and the amount of time this machine will be working, I figured platinum was a good bet on long term savings, hand-in-hand with a PSU that should last 6+ years.
G-Skill Trident X Series

Pros: The Trident X series has heatsinks which look stylish with a Rampage IV formula mobo and the the ram itself functions amazingly. I selected the XMP profile in Bios and left the voltages and timings alone. I could probably push them a little harder, but I wouldn't notice the difference. These are overkill, no doubt, but it's price is phenomenal and you get what you pay for - memory that has no errors and can handle 2400MHz if you're not keen on pushing slower memory to such limits.
Cons: This is kind of silly, but the heatinks are sharp at the top; pushing them into the dimm slots was a bit painful. I could have purchased slower memory and bumped it up, but I really liked the look and feel of these sticks. It's worth it.
Overall Review: G-skill is a great company, and their prices are very competitive and reasonable. While some might think of it as just RAM, it's still something that can be absolutely horrible with errors or perfectly good with quality control. The latter is what I received.
Re-Review (after RMA)

Pros: Two sets. I ran MemTest for each stick with and without overclock--saw 0 errors. Running these at 1700mhz and cas7 without a problem. Stability as a set=great, but there's a new problem (see cons). Nicely made, overclock well, and quite good-looking.
Cons: This new issue has me puzzled, but I'm not deducting an egg because it might be something I'm doing. I can't get the two sets to work simultaneously (all 6 DIMMs) on an over-clock without stability issues (not POSTing), despite manually setting the timings, upping the voltages, etc. I'm hoping it's something quite obvious I overlooked, but there's very little internet information about it occurring.
Overall Review: The RMA time was about 12 business days (I live on the east coast). Technical support is helpful and I'll be contacting them soon.
Roccat Kave 5.1

Pros: Quality---This headset comes close to matching the audio quality of audiophile headphones that are 4-5 times the price of these. They really do have Real! 5.1 Sound, and they sound simply superb. I have even higher expectations when I install my G1.Sniper motherboard and hear them through the Creative sound. ---Mic is also nice, a bit on the less sensitive side but not really a con because mic boost can easily fix that. I'm also a bit quiet. On Ventrillo and Murmur, people tell me I sound great (my voice too haha). ---Engineering. They're huge, but that's not much of an issue for me. I consider it a pro because it defines hardcore.
Cons: ---Slight discomfort in the top middle area of headpiece, it's a slight pressure on the top of the head. You either forget about it because you're blown away by the amazing sound or reposition the resting spot for better comfort. ---Currently using with Realtek 7.1 sound on a Gigabyte Ud3r(Rev2.0) board and getting some whining feedback. Unnoticeable when playing sounds and no effect on sound quality (I think), but it's slightly distracting when there's nothing running.
Overall Review: Amazing. German engineering is the best; most products that have lasted generations in my household are German manufactured. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile, but my hearing is extremely good. This headset is extremely accurate in pinpointing sound location and distance in games. I sometimes turn my head in response the sound is reproduced so well.
