Pros: Matte chassis and display, trackpoint, USB 3, has a wireless switch if you don't need to be online, and battery life is between seven and eight hours.
The mouse buttons are connected to the keyboard, so replacing one replaces both.
Chiclet keys if you're into that. I don't have a preference.
Cons: I opted to go with the standard 1366x768 resolution since 1600x900 isn't a big enough upgrade to warrant an additional fifty dollars. I'll keep dreaming of 2560x1440.
Thinkpads are still holding onto VGA, which I understand but also consider a waste of space.
I would have preferred HDMI instead of Mini DisplayPort.
Other Thoughts: I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro, added 128GB Crucial M4 7mm SSD, a low voltage 8GB RAM kit, and an ultrabay hard drive adapter (holds up to a 12.5mm to house the original 500GB drive. The stock HDD is 7mm, so it's a bit small in the ThinkPad 12.7mm Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter III, but I've got some thin cardboard that came in an old motherboard box bracing it from shifting its connection. Wasn't necessary, but I wanted to make sure it can't shift. So far so good.
The option to add a SSD for speed and still have the traditional high capacity HDD is a big plus not generally available in consumer laptops.

Pros: Oversized pads on glide surface. Nice colors.
Cons: The listed price is higher than what I purchased it for. I got it for thirty-five rather than fifty-two.
