Nice, Clean simple

Pros: simple to use operation, uses standard 3 wire fan connection Worked right out of the box. nice color combination, but a bit bright for a media center pc. Help to quiet a moderately loud pc, but with 24 drives spinning, it only eliminated part of the problem. While the images don't show any display is is rather attractive and clean, easy to read at a glance
Cons: With a 120 mm fan connected to each output there doesn't appear to be any thermal problems, the transistors run slightly warm (apx 130 degrees) however when you add multiple fans you reach the current limit and the output transistors heat up. Probably should think about adding heat sinks if you want multiple fans per channel, or hit the web sites to find a higher current device, 1 amp doesn't provide much margin.
Overall Review: If I were to improve this product, I'd raise fan current ratings to 3 amps per channel, and add slide switches to instantly go from F and C readouts and a second slide switch for bright, dim and off. I'd also make the mounting tabs longer to permit more secure mounting. I would buy another for my game box, but dual nvidia cards require vast amounts of cooling, makes the installation a moot point., when running crysis, that is... The temp probes look very delicate, so care needs to be taken during installation, I recv'd 2 spares so no worries.
Seagate, The G.M. of the Hdd industry

Pros: 5 year warranty, quiet. Supposed to be a "Enterprise" class product, 24x7 data center.
Cons: Purchased 3 in May 2010, Mid Nov 2010 all three fail Seatools test. Rma to Seagate asap. Seagate appears to be the new General Motors of the disk drive industry, meaning manufacturing and quality control problems. Seagate used to be the "Cadillac" of the industry, the one product to buy for trouble free service, I guess those days are gone, nothing but trouble with this product.
Overall Review: Would I buy again, probably not
poh = 0 hours, a good start

Pros: power on hours =0, a good start since the last 'new' drive i purchased from a different seller had 85000 hours on it or about ten years
Overall Review: we'll see how the extended tests go, about 15 hours to run iirc.
nice and simple setup but drive overheats
![[Support UASP and 18TB Drives] ORICO Tool Free USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure Case for 3.5inch SATA HDD and SSD - Black (3588US3)](https://c1.neweggimages.com/ProductImageCompressAll125/0VN-0003-000K9-V07.jpg)
Pros: Easy plug in and play
Cons: case doesn't provide any air flow to internal drive causing it to overheat, even when cover is removed the 1tb 7200 rpm seagate runs too hot
Overall Review: if you plan to use a cool running 5400 rpm drive you should be ok, if a 7200 rpm drive you probably should skip the purchase of this one
Good Proof of Concept But falls short

Pros: I want to like this unit, I really do but it is lacking in several areas: see cons As a result less than stellar review. I live in a rural area (a valley and about 50 ft below where signal is good), in order to get a reasonable signal the antenna was pole mounted 35 ft from ground level. After installation I was able to send/receieve voice calls and text messages from inside. Also 4G went from 3 to 5 bars, Speed testing on my Nexus 7 tablet 4g speeds test went from 1-3 mbps up to 12-15. A nice win. Sadly my HTC One M8 win phone didn't make it to the party 3G reception appears to be a marginal improvement and still can't get a reliable data connection. Boosted signal from -108 dbm to 85 when up close to inside antenna Plusses- compact unit, easy to install, no complicated setup/configuration processes.
Cons: Minuses - Cut a few too many corners to reduce production costs. Missing very important a coax weather shield, Power supply cable is a joke, 3ft seriously? Mfg states every thing you need, a lie since a vital keep part was missing- a water proof connector shield for outside antenna. if you buy this plan on adding a extension cord. inside antenna, not good for much, other than demo'ing Mfg states 2500 sq ft coverage, it's more like 1 room. With base unit in different room little gain was realized, only when I sat next to unit did I see much improvement. Very particular on placement, wall mounting was not permitted- kept getting a orange led condition, Table top with no other items seem the only place.
Overall Review: Perhaps missing a complicated setup/configuration processes is what the unit needs? the base unit should be sold separately so you can add the appropirate cable and antennas. RG-11 ultra low loss cable should be used by default. While it improved Voice probably sms and 4g, didn't have as big of an effect on 3g which is all my phone can support at the moment, Doesn't support Verizon or other providers that don't follow AT&T's band allocation- why other units in same price range do? Plan on spending another $200 for better antennas
Complete Waste of Money

Pros: cheap
Cons: Cheap and highly inaccurate. Have taken 3 readings, each time a highly different reading. Then contacted cust sppt, even after following their instructions I can't trust the readings this device provides. Got a RMA approved but considering cost to return vs the cost to buy, the only place this device is going to be delivered to is the trash can
Overall Review: Don't buy this item, unless you really don't care how inaccurate it is.
Very Used not New
Item was listed as New but the item received has over 85,000 hours of poh (power on hours) That is approx 9 years total hours on. returned next day
Not good for hd hi speed drives that run hot
this item doesn't provide adequate ventilation for those drives that run hot. probably ok for 2 1/2 inch drives, a ssd or 5400 rpm drives that run cool but for traditional 7200 drives, i wouldn't recommend with out modifying the case
paid extra for rush shipping but ...
still waiting for delivery, I'm sure the items will be delivered, eventually. The good thing is the items urgently needed arrived on time, these were shipped from newegg. The lesser items are from bundlecity. not really a big deal they are for spares anyway. still paying extra for rush shipping doesn't always pan out.
