Pros: Plextor is THE industry standard, very fast drive, a good price, no coasters at all, been using it to install games and it is super quiet and fast.

Overall Review: Ever serious gamer needs one of these. A good match would be to pair it with the new Asus drive to you can do like me and have full dual layer dvd to dvd copy ability if you ever need it. Only thing better will be when Blue Ray comes down in price to get one of those.

Pros: had to deduct a star for poor packaging, but media seems great, none of them were scratched and I used one so far and it worked fine as expected

Cons: hopefully they redesign their spindle packaging, or else someone in the warhouse was sloppy packing it, musta been a friday night or monday morning...

Overall Review: Next time, I probably will pay a lil more and buy in the stores near me, not sure if its worth it for stuff like this, at least in the store you can see if your spindles intact before you buy it, I just had another empty spindle so I am using that, not really worth RMAing media at this point, at least the discs were intact.
