nice little machine

Pros: Feature-loaded. The amount of integrated hardware is pretty amazing, including a 5-in-1 card reader, built-in webcam and mic, 56k modem, Gigabit ethernet, Dolby Digital-capable audio output, etc. to go with the more standard stuff. The 2GB of RAM and dual-core CPU runs Vista well. I thought for sure I would be installing XP right off the bat, but turns out you can make Vista pretty XP-like if you choose. Also, it's really light and the everything seems to be laid out well.
Cons: TONS of useless pre-loaded software that took quite a while to remove, but this would be true of any OEM laptop. No catch or fastener for the lid.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a laptop that does everything except gaming/high-end graphics stuff, this is it. And for the price, that's really saying something.
fast card, but...

Pros: Very fast card, can run all the latest games at high settings with no trouble. There was a sizeable rebate with this card, with that factored in, the price was pretty unbeatable. Fairly quiet.
Cons: DVI port did not work, so I have to RMA it.
Overall Review: This card is gigantic, but I guess so are a most others these days. I hope my replacement card works better.
working fine

Pros: Installed about 3 months ago, haven't had a single issue. This was installed to replace a mechanical drive in an existing machine running Win 7x64 (installed as an upgrade in other words, not as part of a new build). I followed an install guide that I found online that indicated to physically install the drive first and then format it using Disk Management. I did this, then installed a fresh copy of Win 7 on it, I did not use the migration software that Transcend has available for those who don't want to perform a clean install. Once the OS was installed, I made sure TRIM was enabled and made a few other tweaks (disabling virtual memory, etc.) and have not had a single problem with it. This is a SATA III drive, but my onboard controller is only SATA II. Still, a saturated SATA II bus can really push some serious data. I haven't seen any single piece of hardware make so much of a difference in performance on any machine I've ever built, with the exception of some video card upgrades I've done for gaming purposes. It's night and day compared to the previous mechanical drive (a WD Caviar Black). Has the added benefit of being completely silent, of course. Got a great price on it, also -- cheaper than it is now, even, 3 months later. Thanks newegg!
Cons: Can't think of any. It works, so what more can one ask for?
Overall Review: Based on this purchase, and assuming price, reviews and performance are basically comparable to the other products currently on the market, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Transcend drive.
nice little CPU

Pros: 3GHz clock speed, quad-core power. Unlike a lot of folks, it seems, I find the stock fans that come with AMD CPUs to be more than adequate. No need for an aftermarket cooler when you're not doing any overclocking. Installed into a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P board with no trouble. Only uses 95W of power.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Great for all the games I run.
first G.SKILL product I've owned

Pros: Works great, no issues whatsoever with stability or anything else. Good price -- cheaper than it's listed here today, in fact. Heat spreaders pre-installed. Totally compatible with the Gigabyte MA-770t-UD3P board and AMD Phenom II X4 945 CPU that I picked up. Performance index under Windows 7 x64: 7.5.
Cons: Not a one.
Overall Review: Seems like great RAM. With a lifetime warranty, it's hard to go wrong.
great cpu!

Pros: Able to power about any app to its full potential. Easy to install.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I don't OC at all, so the stock cooler works great for me (quiet, etc.). Great cpu, very fast and quite capable of running anything I've thrown at it so far (games, mostly) at blazing speeds.
