Very nice case
Pros: I bought this case mainly due to the "Shell Shocker" price and didn't plan on writing a review since this was my first new build. I wouldn't know what to compare it with. The reviews on the net didn't really give me high expectations. Everything from "how hard or the expansion slot clips functioned", to how the "psu mounting holes where not aligned" where all either corrected or the reviewers had no patients to learn how everything worked. Every single hole lined up perfectly that I didn't have to use a Dremel or file. So this case dose everything that what I bought it for very, very well so I had to give my rating. The air gets pushed though is so well managed that even it dosen't have time to get slightly warm! Plenty of room! I really like how easy everything goes in and out. Very well engineered case!
Cons: This case really deserves 4.75 stars since all is not perfect. With a $140 case every thing should work perfectly, and packaged with care. The only issues I had was the headphone socket is completely loose or I'm not sure if there is even one under the plastic cover, and in the same area there was tape residue (nothing citrus cleaner couldn't remove!). Wish it had a quick disconnect for the just the LED's!
Overall Review: I really didn't care for it's style and can't stand the LED's, I just can't knock it since I knew what I was getting. Once I opened it the style is not that bad. Now I need to remove the LED's from the large fan. ALSO, the case is HUGE! It was way bigger than what I had expected for a mid sized case to be. It makes my 22" monitor look like a 19". So really you will wan't to grab a tape measurer. Available space was not a issue, just it filled up most of what I had reserved for it! I really wouldn't have considered this case since it was out of my budget, just after owning it I would really recommend it to everyone. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- My First Build AMD Phenom II X4 945 Asus M4A78T-E 790GX G.SKILL 2GBx2 ddr3 (F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ) Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon 4850 Corsair 550 psu Thermaltake Armor+MX
tuff on the ear canals
Pros: Pretty much of the same from the review below, except I feel the sound is the best ive heard for buds that cost less than $100. Click and talk as the mic seem to sound as good if not better than those that come with the iPhones.
Cons: Also read the review below. I've never been able to get the volume control to work. It really doesn't bother me since all I have to do is reach for my phone and adjust it there. The biggest issue if had is the rubber on the buds. The raised logo caused irritation in both of my ears after a half hour of use. Not sure if it is from the rubber being to stiff, or the logo it's self.
Overall Review: If i ever find my last pair of ear buds, I will switch out the rubber caps, till than I am stuck using the iPhone buds. For these issues, I only feel the reason these are worth $15 to $20, definitely not $50. So if you have some old comfy mushroom buds laying around do not dispose of the caps, cause if you find these on sale, grab them.
Currently good for sli at 1440p
Pros: Pretty quite. Drop in and go. Look cool (if that your thing).
Cons: Back plate will get warm. Not sure if it is the cooler pushing the air around the card, or the ram running hot. The card will still slope down, so I think Asus runs a bit to thin on their circuit boards for this card. Price is another issue, my first card ran me $420 here at new egg, and it only dropped to $300. IMO this is a $200 to $220 card. If I didn't already own a 670, I would have gone for a gpu with more ram or waited till price of the 780ti get reasonable or gone with the r9 290x.
Overall Review: Bought this 2nd card for SLI with my exact same 670 on a new 1440p using a overclocked 3750k to 4.5ghz and 8gb of 1600 ram. BF4 on ultra with my single oc'd 670 at 1080p/60hz would pull in 47-68fps. My new Qnix 1440p monitor at 60hz will do 28-48fps on ultra. Now with the addition to SLI 54-74fps. I was able to overclock my monitor to 110hz though in order to run BF5 my setting very from low to medium to lock my fps at 110 to match my monitor. I am blown away at how well the game looks and feels so in that respect I am thrilled with my set up.
Nice sound
Pros: Good sounding. finish is great.
Cons: Wish the volume control's lighting would turn off as the computer shuts down. I could control it in my bio's, problem is I also use usb to charge my phone at night with pc turned off...oh well, I now have to unplug the headphones at night.
Overall Review: The main reason why I am writing this review is the old reviews might have on potential customers. You no longer need to register the product to download the software. The software is a must to get a good/great sound out of this headset. Not sure if a sound card will make a improvement.
It works well
Pros: What you expect in a good ssd for fast app loading, and strength. Great for a laptop.
Cons: This is my first refurbished item. I was worried once I opened the item. I didn't really care that the original box was missing, just that the drive was look used. By the scratches on the case, I would assume the previous owner used this as a portable back up drive.
Overall Review: Everything tested OK and the drive works. I installed this in my wife's '09 macbook pro. Start up was 1 minute 45 sec to now 45 seconds. I expected 15 to 25 seconds but apps load in under a second, and now I don't have to worry if my young son drops the laptop while the the drive is working....I am happy
Nice mouse
Pros: Feel, feed back, fit and finish. The software is ultra easy to use as well.
Cons: Hard to find any.
Overall Review: The shape is not great for my med/large hand. It could be how I am not one to drag the back of my palm on the pad. My old MS Wireless Mouse 5000 shape I guess has me ruined, and Logitech trackball is a great back up since there is no fatigue.
