Love this card

3ware 9650SE-4LPML PCI Express Lanes: 4 SATA II Controller Card RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, Single Disk, JBOD, KIT
3ware 9650SE-4LPML PCI Express Lanes: 4 SATA II Controller Card RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, Single Disk, JBOD, KIT

Pros: True hardware raid. Been running 4 1TBs in Raid 10 for a year now. Never had a single hick-up.

Cons: Pricey for a home server, but hey. those 40$ raid cards kept killing my drives so after 3 drives in less than six months I went with a true hardware solution. worth it in the end.

Most Critical Review

Cheap fans

Antec P280 Black Aluminum / Steel Super Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec P280 Black Aluminum / Steel Super Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great price for such a spacious tower. Definitely does not lack the airflow capability.

Cons: cheap fans. I bought two of these, and out of 6 total fans, three of them have started making loose bearing style noises and I replaced them with cheapo cooler master fans that have yet to ever fail me.

Overall Review: If I didn't need these amount of PCI slots for the machines I built, I would of went with a Fractal Design Define R4 for a similar price. They are quieter too.

Loud and flimsy

GIGABYTE - 15.6" NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M - Intel Core i7-4710HQ - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Windows 8.1 64-Bit - Gaming Laptop - (P35Gv2-CF1 )
GIGABYTE - 15.6" NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M - Intel Core i7-4710HQ - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Windows 8.1 64-Bit - Gaming Laptop - (P35Gv2-CF1 )

Pros: Specs Thinness Weight Removable DVD drive. Comes with spare HDD caddy. No Bloatware

Cons: Noise. Fans are loud all the time. Flimsy keyboard. Pretty shoddy trackpad. It's not even in flush... Gigantic screen bezel Weak battery: 4 hours idle. ~2 hours of basic wifi huge power brick. At least it's thin...

Overall Review: I don't think I'm going to keep this laptop. I wanted to love it, and bought it despite the negative comments I've read elsewhere. I wanted to give gigabyte a chance, but these cons outweight the pros. From what I've read they haven't made many improvements in any of these regards with the newer 3rd generation, either. Guess I'll be buying a different brand laptop after all.

Garbage fans leak oil

MSI R9 280X GAMING 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
MSI R9 280X GAMING 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Cards were cheap when I originally bought them (310CAD)

Cons: I have 3 of these cards and 2 GTX 760 with the same heatsink TWIN FRZR design and literally every single card sprays oil from the fans or something all over the place. Out of the total of 10 fans from the 5 video cards literally 4 of them stopped working within a month... I used to praise MSI for their twin frozr heatsink back 2-3 years ago but this latest revision is by far the worst. I'm almost tempted to RMA the cards I have, sell the ones I get back, and buy different brand cards but that seems like a pain to do.

Short cables

Rosewill BRONZE Series, RBR1000-MS, 1000W Semi-Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS BRONZE, Blue LED Dual-Ball-Bearing Fan, ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V, SLI & CrossFire Ready, Black
Rosewill BRONZE Series, RBR1000-MS, 1000W Semi-Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS BRONZE, Blue LED Dual-Ball-Bearing Fan, ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V, SLI & CrossFire Ready, Black

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheap You get what you pay for... Every single cable is too short to pass behind the motherboard in a regular sized mATX case... One of the 12v rails seems to have burnt out with only 2 video cards on it. Will not be buying this PSU again.

Failed and no support

PQI U822V 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive 6822-032GR3XXX
PQI U822V 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive 6822-032GR3XXX

Pros: Cheap (paid 20$ on sale) USB 3.0 read speeds are what you'd expect.

Cons: Slow write speeds. Felt more like USB 2.0 Died after 6 months without warning and won't even be recognized by any computer anymore. pqi support is non-existent. To get an RMA you have to fill out an email form on their website. I've done it 3 times so far and have yet to get a reply.

Overall Review: Not planning on getting a pqi product again.
