No need for i7

Intel Core i5 6th Gen - Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530
Intel Core i5 6th Gen - Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530

Pros: -Great for gaming -Overclocks easily -Not many games use hyperthreading, don't pay for something you won't use

Cons: -none

Overall Review: If you plan on gaming, get this. There's no need for an i7 (for gaming and regular use). If you run multiple calculations or do A LOT of video editing, then yes, go i7 but if you are a regular power user/gamer, invest the difference in a good cooler or a better GPU and save your money from buying an i7, don't pay for features you won't use!

Memory Channel A does not work

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: -Looks nice -Nice features

Cons: 1- Gigabyte has really slow customer service and not responsive to tickets. 2- My board keeps giving me Error 55 (memory configuration) on Channel A (DDR4_2 and DDR4_4) The manual states: ---- The four memory sockets are divided into two channels and each channel has two memory sockets as following: **Channel A: DDR4_2, DDR4_4 **Channel B: DDR4_1, DDR4_3 ---- However, my pair of RAM sticks work on DDR4_1 and DDR4_3 [channel B]. They do not work in Channel A (DDR4_2 and DDR4_4). There are no bent pins and no thermal paste causing any interference. Seems like a faulty board but Gigabyte is really slow responding on a solution or if this is the way it was designed to work. Overall Review: Motherboards are one of the most important components in your system. If you need support, I'd recommend purchasing from a different vendor. You never know when you'll get a faulty board, just random chance, but when it happens to you and you need it fixed, you'd like a company that responds and supports you and their product. At this point I can't recommend Gigabyte, I would suggest going somewhere else.

Quiet, Cool and Fast

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Pros: -Plays the great majority of games on max/ultra settings, I haven't ran into any that I can't run on max yet. -Very quiet, noise level compared to my previous card went down to about HALF. -Temperature is also down, keeps my whole system much cooler -VR Ready -EVGA Support and quality!

Cons: -Price is a little steep but worth it -Scarce, inventory levels are low currently due to demand for these cards being so high

If you use Windows, DO NOT BUY THIS!

SYBA SY-PCI40010 PCI SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) RAID Controller Card
SYBA SY-PCI40010 PCI SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) RAID Controller Card

Pros: It is able to read the drives at the BIOS level.

Cons: Does not work. Causes DPC_watchdog_violation at all levels of raid (0,1,5,10)

Overall Review: The card creates the RAID and it presents the VDs to Windows, you can format them and partition them correctly but then after 5-10 minutes, you WILL get a DPC_Watchdog_violation error. I have tried everything and called the support help desk and they couldn't solve it either. Please, don't buy this.

PDX310, you are clear for landing.

Sunbeam Transformer IC-TR-US-BA-WOPSU Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Sunbeam Transformer IC-TR-US-BA-WOPSU Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great cooling and airflow, lots of room for drives, looks great, solid and sturdy.

Cons: It is louder than an airplane engine!

Overall Review: I love the case but geez, once you turn it on, prepare to be in an airport's runway. This case is very VEEERY loud.
