Love this little case

LIAN LI PC-Q25B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-Q25B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case

Pros: Hot-swap drive bays, sufficient space on back side to tuck cables, love the simplicity.

Cons: Top fan was vibrating against outer aluminum fan-grill. I had to take out the fan, tighten the screws and then replace it. Cable management can be a bit difficult without a modular power supply.

Overall Review: Not a "silent" case by any means, but still runs very quiet, even with the two fans plugged directly into 12V leads instead of controlling them through the BIOS (fans have both 12V and 3-pin mobo connector).

Great

Pros: Works without installing any drivers (Win 7 x64)

Cons: Without installing drivers, the volume control is not very precise, but it works.

Impressed

Pros: Overall I am very impressed with this notebook. With the original hard drive it was fairly responsive and scored a modest 3.2 with the Windows 7 self assessment test. Being limited by the processor speed. Aero works great and the different settings provided by Power4Gear for power savings have some nice setting changes to ensure you get the battery life you want. Express Gate is great and boots up very quickly, but needs the option to change the resolution easily (it is at an awkward, non-native resolution. Probably 800x600.) There are some files to modify in order to change the resolution, but the average user will not feel like diving into the linux files to adjust resolution. Visual Studio 2010 and Zend Studio run quickly, in part thanks to me installing the Intel SSD. The keyboard has a great feel to it and is fairly quiet.

Cons: The back corners where the display bends up have some very sharp corners and I imagine will eventually damage my laptop case, but I just have to be sure to put the front of the laptop first instead of the back side. Way too much bloat-ware installed. Uninstall doesn't remove all the shortcuts. However an initial clean install remove all except the general Asus stuff (Power4Gear, Express Gate, FastBoot, etc..)

Overall Review: I installed the Intel 80GB SSD and the laptop works just great. I had to attach an external USB drive to use the recovery DVD that came with the computer. Processor usage gets quite high when watching 720/1080 flash videos. Not a con since the videos play smoothly for the most part.
