Overkill for my hand size

Razer Orbweaver Gaming Keypad
Razer Orbweaver Gaming Keypad

Pros: Decent quality. Seems like it'll hold up to non-frantic button pressing.

Cons: The top row of keys is unreachable if my palm remains on the palm pad. Other folks with longer fingers will not find this an issue, but there are people who should know of a possible downside to all the buttons.

Overall Review: Another issue: the Orbweaver seemed to lose the ability to send keystrokes. I started playing Marvel Heroes, and abandoned the game when I got no response from hitting Orbweaver keys. I opened a Command Prompt, and still got no response. Rebooted laptop, checked Command Prompt, all was well again. Not sure if this is an Orbweaver thing or a Synapse 2.0 thing or just a USB keypad on a laptop thing. Synapse 2.0 could adjust lighting during the no-type period, but didn't fix the problem. I'd think a USB device in trouble would make disconnect noises, but since the lighting control still worked I guess it was not a real disconnect. My plan is to reboot before every game, and maybe remember to check via a Command Prompt to see if the Orbweaver is ready before diving into a game. As far as overkill goes, I guess it's better to have more buttons than you can easily access than less than you need. The sale price on the Orbweaver makes is still a great deal, so if it gets back down below $90 again I'd say go for it.
