Very Good Adapter

VANTEC CB-SATAU3-6 NexStar SATA 6Gbps to USB 3.0 Adapter - 2.5"/3.5"/5.25"/SSDs
VANTEC CB-SATAU3-6 NexStar SATA 6Gbps to USB 3.0 Adapter - 2.5"/3.5"/5.25"/SSDs

Pros: Very fast data transfer on USB 3. My Acer ultrabook running Windows 7 Home Premium recognized my DVD drive instantly when I attached the USB cable. Installed MS Office from DVD amazingly quickly and with no problems at all.

Cons: SATA connector apparently fits but does not "snap" on to some SATA drive ports. Be aware that the connector can fall out if you are moving things around. (A piece of tape will hold it in fine against moves or bumps if needed.)

Overall Review: Pulled a DVD player from my desktop and used this adapter to connect it to my DVD-less ultrabook to provide for some software installation. Everything worked perfectly. Had to be careful not to let the adapter fall out of the drive ports, but that was not a show-stopper. Definitely recommend this adapter!

Great Sound From Small Package

Beats by Dr. Dre Pill Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (White)
Beats by Dr. Dre Pill Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (White)

Pros: Very good bass, very crisp highs. Clarity is very good even at reasonably loud volume. Good battery life. Connects to music source via 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth, or NFC.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Item N82E16855323001 is Beats Pill version 1, and is an excellent little portable stereo speaker. Version 2 adds the ability to act as a charger for your cell phone, music source etc. via a full size USB port on the bottom - you provide your own charging cable. Version 2 also adds the ability to use one Beats 2.0 Pill as a wireless right channel speaker and a second Beats 2.0 Pill as a wireless left channel speaker from a single source connection. Those are the only differences between 1.0 and 2.0. C/N*t gives Pill great ratings on sound reproduction - for unknown reasons, they gripe about the suggested list price, and reduce their rating based on the suggested list price but do not include the price "rating" in their statistics for all similarly sized speakers (so much for ratings consistency and objectivity, right?) Do not expect ANY speaker of this size - including this one - to fill a large room with audiophile sound at a volume level that will rattle the windows and anger the neighbors. For the size, price, and connectivity options, the Beats Pill sounds really good. (Your ears may vary.)
