Work great
Pros: Plugs right in. I had no issues with quality at all. I use this cable to connect my PS3 to my Bravia. I've had no issue with the plug coming apart (which can be an issue with cheaper cables), and have had to flickering issues. Much better price than buying retail. I bought this cable 11 months ago.
Cons: None. I have had 0 issues with this cable.
Decent Case
Pros: I like the simple shape and low-frills design. The solid black looks nice.
Cons: The top case fan started giving me issues within a month or two of purchasing this case. It's very loud for a couple of minutes after a cold (as in, literally cold) start. I think the bearing is bad. The LED on the front case fan is nice, but now that I have a tot crawling around it attracts him like a fly to a bugtrap. Inevitably this leads to him pressing the power/reset button(s) for his enjoyment. Unfortunately, the LED on this fan doesn't have an off switch. The case door piece is very thin, and thus too flexible. It can easily get bent out of shape. I've never had more than a couple extra moment's of trouble putting it back on properly, but it's something to be aware of. Originally, I wanted front-facing front-bus ports, but after having hitting my USB drives sticking out of the front more than once, I've changed my mind. Also, they make it easier for my little one to pull on them. I didn't take an egg off for this, as I specifically chose a case with ports like this, I just didn't think far enough ahead to account for a one-year old's curiosity.
Overall Review: It does what I need it to do, and has room for more. I don't have many words to say in praise, but that's not because it's a bad product. The detriments are mainly my owe personal quirks. Having a bad case fan is why I deducted an egg. I still think it's worth 4 eggs, because I don't think the manafucturing defect that's with norm is worth penalizing them more than that.
Worth my investment.
Pros: Holds its value. I bought this originally from Newegg in 2007 for a new AMD Athlon 64 X2 and it always worked beautifully. I upgraded to an AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black with all 4 cores unlocked. Temperature stays cool. It's currently at 37-38 C, which is about 10 degrees above my ambient room temperature. Fan and heatsink work so well I actually turned off all the other fans on my tower except the rear stock 120 mm. The CPU fan is actually quieter. I bought it for $49, and the price has stayed the same all this time. Another good sign it was worth the initial buy.
Cons: The "fan speed controller" never stayed on very well, and it would occasionally seemed to turn the fan-speed to very low, prompting a boot message of "You CPU fan speed is set too low" which would force a reboot until I turned the speed up. This was easily resolved by removing the fan controller entirely.
Whoops!
Pros: Navigability: Made a mistake. It does have a toggle button. By default it's set to holding down the "Home" button for a second. It'll have a list there of all open windows/apps/whatever.
Cons: Well, that's one less on my list. Though I do miss the days of comfortable one-handed typing on my 6126. The keys are much more firm on the E51 and if I don't use both thumbs I can definitely feel it.
Wonderful Phone
Pros: T9 Dictionary: For once I have a phone with a SMART dictionary. It learns which use I use most, so that I don't have to click "change" all the time. WLAN: I connected to my own WLAN no problem and was able to integrate GMAIL IMAP in just a few minutes. Navigability: I feel like I can get to-and-from where I want to be quickly. And with 10 effective hotkeys in Active Standy Mode I can get to my most common spots/apps easy. Feel: The whole phone just feels nice and solid. I don't feel like I'm holding a toy.
Cons: Camera: Low quality, no flash. But I didn't buy a camera, I bought a smart phone. Case: There doesn't appear to be any 1st party case available. Battery Cover: Fingerprints stick to the cover, but it came with a wipe. My issue is that the cover moves slightly. We're talking about a mm here, though. Navigability: I can get to where I want fairly quick, but there's no option to just switch between open applications/features. If I open one I'm already using it'll take me to exactly where I was, which is nice, but a toggle button would be better: PTT: There's a PTT button on the leftside. It's default setting is the Voice Recorder. You can't program this button, which is disappointing. Voice Recorder is useless to me. Alarm: There's no separate setting for Alarm volume. It's the same as the ring volume, except in Silent mode, in which case it's Ascending.
Overall Review: Worth the purchase. The Nokia PC Suite's media manager isn't too savvy as far as managing music goes, but I'm only using it to add ringtones. Also, the camera only takes pictures in H*V, even though the screen and phone orientation feel like they should be V*H. But again, it's a phone, not a camera. I love the phone. My 6126 died and I was left with the Brick of Doom 6010. It's like going from steel swords down to wooden spears and up to laser weapons. Huge difference.
