Revised Review

PC Power and Cooling PPCT1200ESA 1200 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply
PC Power and Cooling PPCT1200ESA 1200 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It offers plenty of power to enthusiasts. I must compliment the ESA integration. It lets you monitor all your temps and voltages live... can't express enough how valuable this feature is.

Cons: Loud... But, if you need power like this, your PC isn't quiet anyway (Unless you watercool.) 3-4GPUS and an OC CPU require a lot of, usually loud, cooling.

Overall Review: I posted a one egg review almost a year ago. The power supply was nice and quiet... too quiet. The cooling fan was a failure, But the PSU actually lasted about 6 hours without cooling fan!!! My replacement has been running great ever since. Failure in 6 hours of normal use

PC Power and Cooling PPCT1200ESA 1200 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 1200 watt power. 90amps, esa...

Cons: failure after 6 hours? scared me half to death. I'm just browsing the net, watching temps with regular use and the whole system goes down... the smell of the psu comes up to greet me... I have a stacker 830, plenty of airflow... temps were low from several fans. Put my old 750w corsair, rig works fine now. I need the big power to run both of my graphics card properly though.

Overall Review: PC Power & Cooling is supposed to make good products, I received a bad one. What a disappointment. I wonder how much the warranty process will cost me.

Great for the price

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 - Core 2 Quad Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W Processor - BX80569Q9450
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 - Core 2 Quad Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W Processor - BX80569Q9450

Pros: 45nm (runs cooler) overclocks to 3.2GHz easily with no increase in temp. I have a Thermaltake True black 120 with 2x120mm fans aero cool 89.39CFM (Push/pull method)

Cons: It only has an 8x multiplier. This means that you will need to rely on your fsb to overclock the cpu. This is proving difficult with my evga 790i.

Overall Review: Buy a QX9775 if you have the money.

Nearly perfect.

COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 RC-830-SSN3-GP Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 RC-830-SSN3-GP Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: REMOVABLE MOBO TRAY!! Lots of places for fans. Lots of room for my 790i Thermaltake TRUE Black 120 2x9800GX2... Tool-less drive bays are good for most devices...

Cons: I wish it had two fans in the back, Ill probably just go to water cooling when I need to get more serious about over clocking.

Overall Review: Use a 120mm 5.25" bayfan in the front to pull in more air. That leaves 3 ports open at the top for your disc drive, fan control and one more of your choice... enjoy. Also, check out the TWELVE HUNDRED when considering cases.

A must have

Black 6 Channel Multi Fan Controller
Black 6 Channel Multi Fan Controller

Pros: Every power user should have one of these. You want great fans for the intense moments... but during the dull moments, I like some peace and quiet.

Cons: If you are moving cables around, a small snag can easily pull out the power connector from the back of the faceplate. If you don't have much room, this could be difficult to plug back in without removing the control panel you just mounted.

Overall Review: Watch your temps, and don't be afraid to crank up that wind tunnel.

Loud but effective

Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm Case Fan
Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm Case Fan

Pros: Really pushes a lot of air. I replaced my stock rear case fan with one of these, and noticed a 3C degree drop in my processor temp. In a stacker 830 the rear fan is right behind my cpu heatsink.

Cons: So loud! I traded this fan out for a few days for a silenx 120mm fan, but went back to the sythe because of performance.

Overall Review: Use a good front panel fan regulator. When your just online messing around, keep the fans low; when your gaming or encoding video, crank them up. The Zalman ZM-MFC1 Plus is nice.
