Do what they should

BELKIN BE112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 3780 Joules Surge Protector with Telephone and Coaxial Protection
BELKIN BE112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 3780 Joules Surge Protector with Telephone and Coaxial Protection

Pros: This does exactly what it's supposed to do. I've bought two of them and haven't had a single problem.

Cons: N/a

Overall Review: I will admit I've never had the chance to put these to the test. E.g. I was never playing a game in a storm and experienced a power surge, that could possibly have damaged my system based on whether or not this surge protector managed to protect from the surge. However, after some research, I was assured that with surge protectors, you generally get what pay for. This won't give you the protection that a giant $200 surge protector would, but for the price, it should do pretty well.

Cooler Master NotePal U2 - Laptop Cooling Pad with Dual 80 mm Configurable Fans
Cooler Master NotePal U2 - Laptop Cooling Pad with Dual 80 mm Configurable Fans

Pros: Worked well and easy to use. Takes up a usb port, but provides an additional one, so it doesn't take up any extra space to use the fans. fans attach to the bottom of the unit in a very handy and crafty way

Cons: One of my fans stopped working after 8 months or so. It would still be okay, but it makes so much noise that it's pretty irritating. I can still mount the laptop so it's still kind of useful.

Overall Review: I don't really know what the life expectancy of these fans is, but I never really moved the fan so it broke on its own. I tried compressed air and cleaning it with q tips, but it's still messed up. Assuming these fans are expected to break within 1 year then it gets 5 stars, otherwise you may want to consider a different cooler

ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler ZM-NC1000 Black
ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler ZM-NC1000 Black

Pros: I've owned this thing for a good 6 months. I tried the cooler master 1st, and that was old trusty for about a years and a half, but then it started making this funny noise. I actually fixed the cooler master after buying this, so I guess it's still fine, but this thing is much better. 1st, the fans are adjustable. 2nd, the fan blades are concealed, so having this on your lap won't mess with the cooling fan's blades. It's quiet, it's sexy, and it's at a far better price than the one I bought it at. I was a little worried that it being closed off the way it is would make it dusty and subject to break, but I have yet to experience any such problems, and enough people on here claim they've had it for a long time and it hasn't failed them yet, so I have to trust that.

Cons: My cooler master came with a little strap that basically fastens the laptop to the cooling pad. This cooler does not come with this. I hate to deduct an egg over something so petty, especially since I already have the strap, BUT this strap IS NECESSARY. If you've ever tried to pull your laptop open with one hand, and accidentally started tipping it off the back of your cooling pad, you probably understand where I'm coming from. Now I'm sure that if these little straps were sold separately, they would only be a dollar or two, in which case this pad would get 5 eggs, because everything I needed would be readily affordable and available. However, I can't find these straps for the life of me, and after having used one for so long, I can't stand using laptops on cooling pads that lack them.

SONY PS3 Media/Blu-ray Disc Remote Control
SONY PS3 Media/Blu-ray Disc Remote Control

Pros: It works with my Sony 3D display. It works with my Ps3. It works with my Roommates 3D display, in the same room, but it is focused enough to target the one it is being pointed at directly. All in all, this remote does what it says it will. If you're feeling lazy, grab it. It's at a solid price.

Cons: N/a

Solid and wholesome

Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad 2 and New iPad Model 920-004013
Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad 2 and New iPad Model 920-004013

Pros: This thing is stylish and sexy. After connecting the 2 pieces, it makes you realize that the ipad looked like a half missing a whole. This fits both the ipad 2 and new ipad like a glove and completes them. It does everything it says it will in great style. Also, it's so light, you barely even realize it's attached to the ipad when you carry it. As to what the last guy said, you CAN use it as a tablet by detaching it and mounting the ipad on the keyboard. However, in certain situations, such as when walking, I can see that being cumbersome. I loved the idea of mounting my ipad up to watch movies, read documents, or look at pictures, etc, without having to hold my ipad up all the time. The fact that this also gives me typing capabilities, and a case just mean that it is fulfilling extra needs, while requiring me to purchase and carry fewer cumbersome accessories.

Cons: I really wanted to give this thing 4 eggs, but there were a number of issues that a buddy of mine mentioned to me as soon as he saw it. 1st, it doesn't have built in speakers, and apparently there is a device being released in october that will have them built in. This device will essentially make all other keyboard accessories obsolete, but it's estimated to be more than twice the price! (I already dropped $650 on the ipad itself.) That aside, this device will also have hinges, meaning the screen will be adjustable, and that the ipad need never actually detach from the case to be used. The new device also is made of aluminum, rather than plastic. Making it more sturdy, and sexy. Lastly, the new device leaves room in the front for the hands to rest on the keyboard.

Overall Review: You might be wondering why do I have so many cons, and yet give this 4 stars. 3 reasons, 1st, because I would have given this keyboard 5 stars had I not heard of the new device. 2nd, the new device isn't out quite yet, so I'm still convinced I have one of the nicest ipad accessories available at the moment. 3rd, I AM getting what I paid for. This new device does have all this really nice features, but they also come with that hefty price I mentioned. Meaning basically, for the price, this is still the nicest ipad accessory you can get, but if you can afford it, you might want to wait until october.

BUFFALO DriveStation JustStore 2TB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive HD-CL2.0TU2N Black
BUFFALO DriveStation JustStore 2TB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive HD-CL2.0TU2N Black

Pros: It does work, it has lots of space, and it is plug and play -- user friendly.

Cons: It is HUGE. Also, people complain about it overheating if left on so you must babysit it constantly and make sure it is off when not in use. Additionally, I had a personal issue that sounds unique to me doing something stupid, but if you search this product up in google you will see that a LOT of people had similar issues with this product even though they didn't do what I did. Mine got knocked over. it stopped working completely from a 2-3 foot fall while it was plugged into my computer, but not in use. It makes a funny error noise now. After the customer service proved to be less than helpful I took it apart myself -- see more about this in "other thoughts," which prolongs the cons -- Anyway, after taking it apart, I saw that my inner hard drive disk is not spinning. Presumably not getting power. Of course it's my problem that it got knocked over, but I've seen hard drives deal with much worse and survive, so for this to be the cause of death for my external is very disappointin

Overall Review: you might be wondering "who is this Buffalo?" Well in this instance, they are a company that builds plastic cases for other companies, because this hard drive is just a regular 2 tb samsung hard drive stuck in a piece of plastic, with a chipboard converting it to USB. It is nothing special at all, and as I've said, other blogs on the internet report several issues with this product. Avoid it like the plague, because when it does break, and it will, you don't want it to be with 2 tb worth of data on it...
