Pros: This is an awesome monitor that I was immediately impressed with. I purchased one for a client of mine (at a much higher price than the time of this writing) and I kept thinking "This is the next monitor I wanted to get". The brightness in the viewing angle shifts a little bit when I stood up in front of one of these monitors. Other than that the picture is very vivid and sharp. There is no "sparkle" from the anti-glare finish. Its bright but not extremely bright. It is very visible during full-sunlight through a window. So brightness is not an issue. The warranty is very good. 3 years and the dead-pixel policy is also extremely good. I've had clients with a nice samsung 23" monitor that dies shortly after the 1-year warranty goes out. So a 3-year warranty on a monitor like this is very nice. No dead pixels at all on any of the 3 that I got. No stuck pixels either. Its solid. It feels and looks like a tank. The stand it comes with alone is probably worth $100. (see my cons though). The stand is superior to those on similarly priced Dell IPS monitors. This monitor has a solenoid-base I believe. It has a very fluid movement and rotates on a ball-bearing base. It also can be raised and lowered quite a distance. The monitor is not very good looking. Viewsonic went with "function over form" on this one. But if you want a solid monitor for video editing and photography editing like I do - I still think this is one of the better monitors to get. Even in the early months of 2015. It is a perfect work machine monitor.

Cons: I have purchased a total of 3 of these monitors for myself and clients. When I finally bit the bullet to buy one for myself - the stand was defective. It was wobbly with no apparent reason why. I took the small screw off at the bottom thinking I could fix it myself and I noticed the plastic "grid" had been melted for some reason all around the edges of the base. There was no ball-bearing assembly or anything. I was not sure if there was anything missing or if the company had attempted a repair and this one slipped past quality assurance? It was strange. I never had a wobbly base on any monitor. But for a "pro-sumer" model? Absolutely unacceptable. So I sent it back. I am still waiting on the replacement. This caused me an extra week of waiting due to defective monitor stand. Worse could have happened I suppose. I still give it 5 out of 5. No HDMI. No Display Port. No big deal really.

Overall Review: I don't understand how 1 out of 3 of these monitors was shipped to me with a wobbly stand. It should have not made it past quality check. I love the viewsonic warranty for dead-pixel policy.

Pros: I never do reviews. Who has the time? But I will for this. This samsung turned out to be a good one. It's fairly fast as 750GB drives go. It's quiet. Runs cool. It has advanced audio management, NCQ, etc. At 88% full the read speed is only 58MB/Sec. Write is still 89MB/sec. Hmm. Odd. Anyhow, I've had it probably since 2009. Its been a light use drive. It was, for awhile, a primary boot drive (with heavy use). Then it was relegated to a storage drive that has been occasionally accessed for media (very light use). The S.M.A.R.T. STATUS shows that the drive has been on for a total of 40,144 hours (thats 1,672 days or a total of 4.58 YEARS!). Power on count is only 969. So the drive is left spinning most of the time. No raw errors. No reallocated sectors count. All good. It's now being pulled from my AMD FX 8-core rig and will be used as a primary drive for someone else. Lets see how much longer it will last. I will try to an update if it doesn't die within the next 6 months.

Cons: I have my hard drives set to go to sleep after 20 minutes of non-use. For some reason the past few months, when the drive is in sleep mode, it takes a long time to wake up. Other drives spin-up, click and ready to go. This one spins up, clicks then you wait and wait. Possibly 2 or 4 minutes before the drive is accessible. Minor complaint after 4.58 years.

Overall Review: This is not the typical lifespan of a hard drive!!! I GOT LUCKY! I had another Samsung 1TB F1 hard drive that died within warranty. Fortunately, the drive gave enough warning signs for me to realize it was going bad (died within the 1 year warranty). I was also able to recover 99% of the data and send it in. I was issued a REFURBISHED drive. Samsung apparently DOES NOT give you a NEW drive if yours fails.

Pros: Very fast - SILENT (in my Antec P182 case) Perfect mate for a High-End AMD/Intel Dual Core or quadcore CPU. This card in a case with good ventilation is SILENT. Did ya hear me? SILENT! This is a SUPERB card. I have read some reviews about the thermal-paste-GUNK on the bottom. No doubt true, but if you dont want to fuss with an Uber-Expensive GTX or break your wallet, THIS IS THE CARD TO GET!

Cons: Takes TWO slots? Is that a con? You should make sure you have good ventilation/room in front of the fan and I am SURE this card will be SILENT for you! Enjoy!

Overall Review: I originally purchased the regular MSI 8800 GT Over Clocked Edition with the standard Heatsink+fan version which took up a single slot. I sold that card and picked up this one. That OTHER card (single slot one) was VERY loud when in games. It'd wind up and scream like a JET after 2 minutes in a game and I have a huge ANTEC P182 BLACK CASE with everything but the CPU and mobo in the top of the case (4 hard drives and PSU are in the bottom tunnel completely sealed from top compartment) and it was STILL loud - mind you this was the ORIGINAL FAN+heatsink design. This 4-Heat-pipe version of the card (TWO slot design) is superb and cant be beat except by maybe another card with a clunky water-cooled design or something. This is the off-the-shelf silent card to buy. Couple this with even a modest AMD X2 4200+ CPU and you're set! Make sure you've got 2GB of RAM for Vista or XP and you wont be disappointed!

Pros: FAST! Easy to use. Works as advertised. I am using this with Windows XP PRO. Goodbye CD-RW and DVD-RW (ABANDONED THEM!) Economical. FAR FASTER than the fastest recordable CD or DVD disc - no coasters to worry about. Once its copied - its there. Done and done.

Cons: U3 Launchpad adds a layer of complication and can be confusing for some. I recommend: UNINSTALL (instructions included). Actual formatted space is LESS than 4GB, true space is 3.8GB with FAT32). I wish they had 16GB drives THIS FAST and at this price! The U3 Launchpad gives a FALSE WARNING about disconnecting the drive before "Shutting down" properly. As long as you dont rip out the USB drive BEFORE a file transfer is completed - you are A.O.K.

Overall Review: I had been using ReWritable CD-R's and DVD-RW's for the longest time. Sometimes to transfer a small 4MB file, other times a few GB. I got frustrated building PC's and having to work with multi-session DVD's that would be unreadable after awhile. I WAITED TOO LONG TO BUY A USB DRIVE and its so much easier. This also can be used in some in-Dash Car Stereo's that have USB connectors for music. Think of the potential! ;-) Question: Can anyone look up the Read/Write Cycles for this unit? Flash Memory DOES have a FINITE life.
