Most Favorable Review

Best board ever owned

ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I tested this board's limits right after installing my OS. This board has been my favorite. It's fast, the Z87 chipset is a plus, USB 3.0 and SATA 6, even down to the wireless antenna (doubles as a hotspot) and the use of bluetooth too! I have an i5 4670k installed in this thing, and the board runs around 22 C with the stock i5 running around 25-28 C range. Overclocked, the board still runs around 28 C.

Cons: You can say color is a con, but I like the gold, and it sits in my case anyway, so why bother putting it down as a con? I don't have any cons against this motherboard

Overall Review: I looked at a lot of boards when the Z87 chipset came out. I mostly looked at this one and the MSI equivalent one to it. I took the ASUS for what it can do. The MSI could do the same thing, and at a lower cost, but I wanted something that I felt would last me a few years without trouble.

Didn't look right to me

RAIDMAX Blackstone series RX-700AC 700W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
RAIDMAX Blackstone series RX-700AC 700W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The cables were long enough to fit into my case. I went by the measurments, not by putting it in, I never opened the box.

Cons: I saw the reviews, and I heard others opinions on it. I didn't want what others had happening to theirs. I decided to RMA this PSU without even trying it. I wanted to, I even asked others if I should, but they said to go with something else. Theres a really good website also that helped me out (http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx) that ranks each power supply. This one is in Tier 5, which means get rid of it. I did some research on this PSU after I bought it, don't do what I did.

Overall Review: My build contains Rosewill Thor V2 White Case Intel 4670K Xigmatek Dark Knight II Black Hawk Edition CPU cooler G. Skill Ripjaw 8 GB 1866 DDR3 RAM Asus Z87-Pro mobo Seagate Barracude 3TB 7200 RPM HDD Pioneer Black 15x Blu-Ray Burner and my new PSU PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III Series 750W Modular Power Supply You don't have to go off my review, but do some research on this PSU if you want a solid build that you want to last for some time. I found more wrong with it than right

This is it

Galaxy 77NPH6DT8KXZ G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 HOF 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: To start off, I bought this off of another site (a rep from work). I first wanted this, because it was white (building a white themed pc). I then started looking into it more, went by what the specs were listed. When I first starting using it, I'll never go by what mfg specs say. This thing never let me down! I wasn't gaming before I had this gpu, I was always fighting with setting boxes open, or monitoring fps. With this card, I don't have a worry of what I can do. I've pushed it and pushed it, and it works way better than preceived. I don't worry about heat at all either.

Cons: In my opinion, a lot of people will veer away from this card due to the color, but in a black and white build, this thing completes it. Heck even in an all black build, this card would be pretty sweet to have in it. I like the color, just saying that now

Overall Review: I probably wont be needing any other gpu's anytime soon. I like this one Im running this with the Asus Z87-Pro and an i5 4670K processor, 16 GB DDR3 1866mHz RAM, 120GB Toshiba SSD (its been a beast) and a 1TB Seagate Barracude 7200 RPM HDD. Dark Knight CPU heatsink and a 750w PC Power and Performance PSU (white). I was running at 670 in the machine before, and I was getting great results with it also. This card though, I don't think I'll ever have to upgrade it ha!

Quiet and works great

PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKIII Series 750 Watt 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Active PFC Industrial Grade ATX PC Power Supply (PPCMK3S750)
PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKIII Series 750 Watt 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Active PFC Industrial Grade ATX PC Power Supply (PPCMK3S750)

Pros: The fan switch is neat, cables fit in a full atx case, and are easy to manage. Enough connections to suit my needs. Works great and stays quiet. The design looks great in a white case.

Cons: Not much of a con but with the PCI connectors, theres an extra 2 pins that hang there, doesn't bother me much though. Just saying it so you guys know

Overall Review: RMA'd my first PSU (was not what I wanted) and ordered this. Works great!

Best upgrade

Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K
Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K

Pros: It's gone about my expectations. It runs at what I think is right. It's fast enough for me, and everything I need to work works exceptionally well. Do some gaming with it, and fps is above my expectations. Overclocked (the turbo core at least) is at 4.7ghz, but it only uses it when needed (it hasn't been much)

Cons: The heat is kinda been an issue with me, first it was my mistake with my cooler, and now its been up to par. At idle (3.4), it sits around 28 C, if pushed to the top (Prime95), I use to see 80's! After fixing my aftermarket cooler, Its now down to 55 C to 60 C. Im using a Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU cooler with a push-pull configuration

Overall Review: Don't let the heat scare you away, this processor, if controlled right, will do what you want. I contemplated over getting this or the i7, and I'm quite happy with my decision

One worked great

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL

Pros: This RAM was seen at the correct frequency when it was installed. Looks great in my case, doesn't interfere with any other parts.

Cons: One stick came dead. I read a lot of these in the feedback. I was hoping I was a lucky one and got both to work. RMA'd both sticks, and getting new ones hopefully

Overall Review: I don't know if it was mishandled by company or shipping, but only one stick would show up
