Intel works as expected
Pros: Windows Server 2003 x64 finds the drivers right from windows update. Card performs flawlessly for creating links between servers.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I used this NIC to link two Windows Server 2003 x64 servers together. This is primarily for clustering....just works as usual with no problems.
Kinda Worked
Pros: Installed easily and drives were recognized quickly.
Cons: Now the bad...I used this on a Windows Server 2003 x64 server running Backup Exec. I was just trying to add some extra external storage. However, after a week or so I walked into the rack room to a loud squealing. I never imagined that the noise was from this card but the noise ceased when I disconnected the drives. After that, the drives disconnected randomly and without warning.
Overall Review: I wish I had purchased a better unit. I thought going on the cheap would be fine but I was wrong The card does work but does not seem to be happy in my server. I am going to test it in a desktop and see if the same problem occurs.
Plays games I like just fine
Pros: It works well in Windows 8. I have an AMD 8350 with 32Gigs of Ram paired with this video card. I noticed a deal for this video card and a free game. I thought, "why not try it". It has worked fine so far. The sysmark ratings are average so this is not meant for really high end gaming but for the price it is a solid card that works well. I will probably buy another when the budget allows.
Cons: None
Overall Review: It would be nice that both DVI connectors could be used to attach to VGA monitors. As it is now, you can use that adapter to attach a VGA monitor and the other monitor needs to be DVI. It does have HDMI and display port also.
Works Perfectly
Pros: This board has it all and performs well. It came with an 8GB stick of ram that I never really used. I opted for 32GB of Corsair Vengeance. I paired it with an AMD FX-8350 8-core processor. I also have the raid running in raid 1 with two 2TB hard drives. All the parts worked well after a little configuration.
Cons: I had to set the Ram manually in the BIOS. It did not sense the speed of my 1600 RAM nor the correct timings. I am not knocking an egg off because this problem is not the fault of the motherboard. Just something that has to be done to get this board to work with higher speed DDR3.
Overall Review: Great for OverClocking!!!!!
Just Works
Pros: Works out of the Box with Windows 7
Cons: None
Overall Review: I use this for an Axia workstation and I find that Audio over IP is problematic with cheap network cards. I have started using Intel Pro Server cards and it just works....couldn't ask for more.
