Most Critical Review

Was good until it went Read-Only in less than 5 months

Team 32GB microSDHC UHS-I/U1 Class 10 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 100MB/s (TUSDH32GUHS03)
Team 32GB microSDHC UHS-I/U1 Class 10 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 100MB/s (TUSDH32GUHS03)

Pros: Seemed like a good card. Fast enough but not as fast as my Samsung.

Cons: Went Read-Only in less than 5 months. Have tried deleting files and after ejecting, they are back when I reinsert the card. Does not allow new files to be written. Have used tried deleting on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 16.

Overall Review: Used for video files about 3 times a week. At most, was written 60 times with about 20GB each time. This has not happened to other brands I bought (e.g. Samsung) that have been used for far longer. From the other reviews, this appears to be a common problem with this particular card. Thought I could trust Team but will trust them no longer and won't buy this brand again.

Perfect for my needs but mine came missing parts

Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE
Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE

Pros: Plenty of drive bays with front fan to keep them cool. Mine came with 2xUSB2.0 ports and 2xUSB3.0 ports on the front panel (plus the eSATA & 3.5mm audio jacks) All the connectors worked with my AMD motherboard

Cons: Case WAS MISSING the screws, stand offs and other accessories that were supposed to be included. I would have been very upset if I did not have spares parts from prior builds. Before anyone suggests that I may have overlooked them, no I did not. I checked every inch of the case and shipping box and they were not there. Not really an issue for me but the front case fan is not an LED fan. It does not light up.

Overall Review: After looking at dozens of cases online, this case was the perfect match for my needs at a very attractive price. I reduced my rating because of the missing parts. I purchased this from the NewEgg store on another site so this review may not show I am a verified purchaser.

Junk

Shark GI468 Rapido Lightweight Professional Electronic Iron
Shark GI468 Rapido Lightweight Professional Electronic Iron

Pros: Didn't look like a piece of junk.

Cons: My Mother got this iron 3.5 months ago, used it 3 or 4 times a week and it has already failed. While using it a couple of days ago, it went off and cannot be turned on. She carefully cares for things and many of her irons have lasted 5 years or more. After checking the warranty and repair information for her and reading other reviews, I've determined there is no point in sending it back. You have to pay to ship the iron to them (and they suggest insuring it LOL) AND YOU HAVE TO SEND THEM $9.95 to pay for shipping a replacement piece of junk back to you.

Overall Review: Not only would I not buy another of these irons, I would not buy anything from this company. Their warranty policy suggests that they know they sell junk and count on customers not returning that junk when it quickly fails.

More bloated than ever -- do not buy

Intuit QuickBooks Pro 2012
Intuit QuickBooks Pro 2012

Pros: It appears to add and subtract numbers correctly.

Cons: After recently upgrading to the 2011 version, I noticed that I had a QB process using over 120MB of memory even though I was not using QB and there was no sign it was running. Together with the other Intuit QB processes that were automatically started, more than 200MB of memory was in use without even running the program. Surprise, surprise, the program is now so bloated that Intuit automatically loads it so it will appear to start faster UNLESS you turn off this 'feature'. I discontinued payroll services last year because they have raised their price by 400% in 10 years.

Overall Review: I have been using QB since the 1999 version but my advice is if you don't have to use QB, don't start using it or you'll soon come to regret it. Once they get you to start using it, they will squeeze every dollar they can get out of you for essential features and then disable them in 3 years so you have to buy it again.

Product is useless in 3 years

Intuit Quicken 2011 Premier Win CD Small Package
Intuit Quicken 2011 Premier Win CD Small Package

Pros: Generally adds the numbers up correctly.

Cons: Critical features are disabled in 3 years. Intuit products in general are resource hogs. Intuit uses every OS feature Microsoft comes out with whether it is improves the product or not. Product bombards you with advertising for other Intuit products and services.

Overall Review: Many of us use the download feature to update credit card and investment and banking information -- this feature will cease to work in 2014 forcing you to buy a new copy. Essential features for some, like investment management, has been moved to more expensive versions like Premier. I've been a Quicken user since DOS version 6 or so and am a QuickBooks user since the '90s. More than any other company, I find Intuit to squeeze every last dollar they can out of you after you have purchased their products. I won't be surprised when they release a 'feature' that holds your data hostage until you pay a ransom.

Died an early death

hec HP485D 485 W ATX12V Power Supply - No Power Cord
hec HP485D 485 W ATX12V Power Supply - No Power Cord

Pros: Relatively quiet. Adequate number of cables of sufficient lengths for microATX motherboard and case.

Cons: Power supply died less than 60 days after purchase (with even fewer days of actual use).

Overall Review: This PSU was included in a HEC 6K11 case I purchased for a microATX computer I built for a friend. System used MB integrated graphics, AMD Athlon II 95W processor and two SATA hard drives. Not exactly a 'high power' system. It was turned off one day and wouldn't power on again a few days later. Will try the RMA process and hope for better luck the second time.
