Great Product for Price
Pros: Blu-Ray player, DVD player/writter, CD player/writer. Can't find anything like it for cheaper than this.
Cons: Not compatable with a number of SATA chipsets on the market. Check the compatability list on the Pioneer web site first.
Overall Review: Blu-Ray playback software has to be purchased separatly.
Best Product for the Price
Pros: Great looking picture. Has multiple inputs.
Cons: Speakers sound like they are wrapped in Tin. There are two small 10 watt speakers.
Overall Review: As advertised, HDTV ready/monitor. I have to have a set top box anyway, so was specifically looking for something without a tuner. To compare; this 23 inch monitor is the same cost as a 19 inch with an analog tuner. I would rather have the larger size. If you don't need a full blown surround sound, I recommend stoping at your local electronics store and pick up some small 15-20 watt speakers for $25-$45. I found a nice little set with a small sub woofer for $24.
Great Device Works Flawlessly
Pros: Works best with Windows Media Center. Media Center is available with Vista Professional or Ultimate. Picks up Radio, All of my analog stations from cable, and 16 HD channels with a $24 antenna from Radio Shack. Oh and the antenna is in my basement.
Cons: The Free applications that come with the product (WINTV). Well now I know why it's free. It only discovered 16 analog and 16 HD channels
Overall Review: Pickup a Logitech Harmony 880 remote control. Works great with this card and media center. AMD X2 5200+, 4GB memory, Vista Ultimate
Awesome Case
Pros: Great Case Super quite. VCD, Volume, IR worked flawlessly. Simple install, Fans are super quiet
Cons: Research your heat sink. It is difficult to find one short enough to fit in the case. If you do find a short heatsink, it will typically cover up a memory slot or two on your motherboard.
Overall Review: Remember it is still a computer case, so it is a bit larger than a audio or video device that you would purchase for a specific use. Vista Ultimate X64 AMD 64 X2 5200. Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H
Awesome Motherboard
Pros: I love this mothboard. Installed Vista Ultimate X64. Had zero problems configuring Audio or Video. Right out of the box without special configuration, I plugged in an audio optical cable and whala HD sound. Has the right parts for a great media center.
Cons: SATA II ports are directed to the side and very difficult to plug in the cables that ship with the board. I had to purchase different cables that fit better.
Overall Review: Vista Ultimate X64, AMD 64 X2 5200, 4GB DDRII 800. Don't use the IDE interface it will be your performance bottleneck. Use all SATA drives
