AMD Impresses Again
Pros: Superior to all other AMD processors with the exeception of the new Phenom type, and the much reduced price comparatively more than makes up for that. Can handle any game out there at full settings and the same can probably be said for most that will come out in the short-mid term future. Stock fan should be adequate for most users, especially if you don't plan on overclocking, and why would you even want to with this thing, anyway?
Cons: Some may not like the stock cooling fan, but once again, it should be adequate for most. The retaining clips were somewhat difficult to close...I felt that an inordinate amount of force was required to tighten them. Be careful when installing.
Overall Review: This is probably the best bet for anyone wanting a decent high-end gaming rig at the time that I write this. While the new AMD Phenom processors and some Intel processors are undoubtably better, the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400 is more than adequate for anything out there right now and the price is just right.
Will Break
Pros: Worked wonderfully...at first. Loved the freedom of having sound with no cord.
Cons: Began breaking after three months. It has flimsy plastic for the microphone connection. It also likes to randomly cut out and even shut itself off with a good amount of charge. The last straw was when the right speaker started failing. It must be some internal wiring issue, because (strangely) tilting the LEFT side can make the sound come back if you hold it JUST so.
Overall Review: I've loved Logitech products in the past, but I honestly cannot recommend this piece of scrap. I expect my products to work for at least a year before experiencing issues; I don't think that's asking for much.
It's an audio cable
Pros: Bought this to replace the cable that came with my Bose speakers as theirs was too short for my setup. This longer cable did the trick and has worked for me just fine.
Cons: None so far as of two weeks of ownership.
Overall Review: It works.
Lives Up to Its Name
Pros: Makes my PC run like a dream while loaded with the OS: still more reliable then SSDs. The price ain't bad either.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Second VelociRaptor drive I've purchased since I was very impressed with the first. Some people say these drives make a lot of noise, but mine seem quiet enough. And if you game with headphones, this is a non-issue.
Good Timings, Good Price
Pros: Fast timings; good price; look good in my case
Cons: None
Quality Board, Good Price
Pros: I bought this board to replace a socket AM2 motherboard. It does everything I need it to do for gaming and seems like a good compromise between affordability and quality.
Cons: None really.
Overall Review: This is the second Gigabyte motherboard I've owned. No bad experiences so far. Apparently some other reviews have had issues with the orientation of the SATA ports but this was not a problem in my case's case (lol).
The item I ordered arrived on time although I had to contact the seller to obtain a proper tracking number, which was different from the one provided though Newegg (not sure if this was the seller's fault or Newegg's fault). Item arrived in good condition.
