ROXXOR
Pros: This case ROCKS. I love the design, how solid it is, the locking mechanisms for drives, the space, the SATA bay on top, everything!
Cons: One small con: for people who are incredibly picky about cable management (like I am) there isn't a huge amount of room behind the mobo for stashing unsightly cables.
Overall Review: I really like the way the case looks it's simple but not plain and boring. I like that the installed front fan LED's can be turned off.
Great Card, Crummy Cooler
Pros: This card was a pretty good value when I bought it a year ago. It's been put through the gauntlet and runs almost anything cranked up, even with my dated (Phenom II X6 1055T) CPU bottle-necking some games.
Cons: The heat sink shroud buzzes terribly, since very shortly after I bought it. I removed the shroud probably <6 months in, and then the fan bearing went. The card ran fairly hot to begin with, as do most ATI cards, but the heatsink setup on this card was poor to begin with.
Overall Review: Overall, it's a good card, and I'm working on a custom cooling setup, but I have a frustration with graphics cards' terrible cooling systems, a great deal of the time. The best solution seems to be a blower type fan that sends everything straight out the back of the case without fuss. The design on this GPU, like many others, blows the air both toward the back and front of the case, and up against the metal backplate. This obviously doesn't dissipate heat well, so the card runs hotter as a result. Why not blow it all out the back, and have a fully enclosed shroud?
Lovely
Pros: Very nice for the price.
Cons: Shipping was somewhat delayed but I think it's because it's a 3rd party from Newegg...
Good stuff
Pros: I just threw this RAM in a Gateway M285-E. Works great. Yeah it's only a 32 bit system but it's nice to have dual channel mode. As usual, G-skill does not disappoint. Price was reasonable as well.
Cons: Didn't come with a free pony.
Awesome... but...
Pros: This headset is amazing. I love the sound quality, the battery life, the huge range, the surround switch, the comfort, the programmable buttons...
Cons: About those buttons... I was kind of disappointed in Logitech's software for programming the buttons. It is lacking in many ways. You are extremely limited to what you can program them to do, without developing your own plugin. I just bought the Saitek R.A.T. 7 and THAT can be programmed to do everything short of buying you lunch. Why doesn't Logitech do this? I am a massive Logitech fan but what the heck. I just want to set it up so my buttons can do things like answer a Skype call. Also, the advanced EQ has no presets, or programmable settings. It can only be turned on and off.
Overall Review: Some people say Logitech has great hardware, but their software is greatly lacking. I am starting to believe them :\
Finally
Pros: First off, I like the width of the mouse. This is the first mouse I've had that I could comfortably always have 3 fingers on. Other mice are too skinny, like my old Logitech G5, and I end up only using 2. I have massive hands though... Also I love the customizability this thing has. Have been messing with different setups.
Cons: Some games don't seem to recognize the forward or back buttons, and none of them detect the thumbwheel, unless (obviously) you program it. Also I think you should be able to reprogram the sniping button, as I don't think I'll ever use it.
Overall Review: I don't think Windows has native support for horizontal scroll. My G5 had the same problem with the scroll wheel side to side buttons. Someone oughtta fix that, I think.
Eggcellent!
I ordered the QNix QX2710 monitor from these guys. I got it within 2 days (used their 3-5 day option @ $20). Came in perfect condition. I have LOTS of experience ordering stuff from overseas, and was quite pleased. To those who experienced delays - I know it can be frustrating, but it's not exactly the shippers fault if an item is delayed once shipped. I feel this is mostly beyond their control. As long as they ship your package out in a reason able mount of time, any delay thereafter is the carrier's fault, not the seller's. Especially when shipping overseas, it almost always pays to choose the expedited option. Well worth the extra ten bucks to have it in hand within 48 hours. Obviously, YMMV.
