Pros: -Build quality is superb, the backplate is a nice added touch to this top of the line card.
-Card actually runs a little faster than rated speed. My tuning software show'd this card actually ran at just over 1450mhz right out of the box.
-Stable overclock held at over 1555 for hours of gaming. Not really necessary but it's always nice to know it's got some breathing room.
-SILENT at low temp, hardly audible even under full load. Holds constant at 59-63 degrees during 1080p gaming.
-Reputable manufacturer with pretty decent 3 year warranty. This is my first EVGA card, but it seems well made. I've owned ASUS and XFX branded Nvidia products...
Cons: -Yes, it only has 2gb vRAM and the bus is only 128bits wide. Whatever, it maxes out 95% of what I throw at it now, but a little uncertain about it's future obsolescence..
-Had a driver issue that was quickly resolved by reinstalling Nvidia's newest software.
Other Thoughts: Excellent build quality and performance at a reasonable price. I would compare this card to a Subaru WRX or VW Golf GTI. Sure, there ARE faster cards that will devour this one right off the line, but they also cost at least 50% more. For the price point this is probably the best card available on the market right now.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Ran quieter than the tiny, loud, irritating stock AMD fan.
Cons: What's the point of a quieter fan if it can't keep anything cool?
Idle temps on my FX - 4200 were good in the low 30 degree Celsius range but under load it ran to nearly 80 degrees before I shut it down!
Wow, that's bad...
Other Thoughts: Max TDP seems to be 70 watts for this cooler, my CPU is 125 watts. Newegg does not inform you about this in the specs...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Pros: Back in the day this was the best. It's still very good.
Ran it against Arctic MX-2 and it ran 1-2 degrees cooler right away, and 4-5 degrees cooler after it had time to "set in".
Cons: Set in period that everyone talks about, it exists.READ FULL REVIEW
