Pros: If you are lucky enough to get a working unit- they work well

Cons: Extreme heat buildup, inconistent quality, no real warranty. 2.4 Ghz WiFi failure.

Overall Review: I previoulsy gave a three egg review, bcause I had two of these and one worked. My second unit was working poorly. Now the 2.4 GHz WiFi transmitter in it has completely failed. What makes this situation particularly bad is that their customer service will not warranty it. I bought the unit through NewEgg, but ASUS still considers it to be a refurb and says it was only covered for 3 months. I first reported this problem to them well before it was three months old, they failed to resolve the problem, and then left me hanging. Then when I posted a review mentioning their quality issses, they left a reply asking me to contact them and they would help me. I did, only to then have to waste more of my time going back and forth answering all their questions again. FInally, they said if I wanted to pay them money they would fix the router for me. They give a rediculously short warranty peroid, then delay you while you are under it, it expires, then the they offer to help, then waste more of your time, then tell you you can pay them some more money. It's a shame, I really liked my first RT-N66U, and it is still working great. However, their inconsitent quality and absent customer service is driving me to their competition.

This seller advertised one Brand of Memory and then sent a different one. Yes, it was compatible, but I could have bought it for less somewhere else. I was specifically buying from them because I wanted an exact brand and part number- it was required by my client. This dishonest cost me future work. I would not recommend trusting them
