Reliable and Extendable
Pros: Very reliable. Owned for nearly 2 years now, and the drive has been running 24/7 except for between when the power goes out and I turn it back on. Thin Linux OS that is easy to gain root access and modify to your liking (additional/improved services, server protocols, transmission, etc.) Plus, it's prett cheap and has gigabit ethernet.
Cons: The DLNA server that comes with it is trash and needs to be replaced/updated out of the box. The actual Seagate interface through the web/android/etc is painfully slow compared to what you can do with a little modding (everything appears to initially route through Seagate servers nothing like cutting out the middle man to speed things up)
Overall Review: Think of this not so much as a complete product, but a cheap, power efficient, bare bones 2TB, 128MB ram, 1GHZ microserver. As long as you're not scared of a little command line work, walkthroughs are available for most of the mods/installs you'll want to do on the openstora.com wiki.
