Pros: Seems to be a good value card. Works fine once VPU issue corrected.

Cons: After initial install, VPU screen kept popping up 2-3 times a day for about a week, then after that just a black screen although I could still navigate the desktop and get responses to open programs. Still had problem after reseating the card and removing and reinstalling driver. Problem seemed to be resolved after installing the current driver from the AMD site.

Pros: USB connection works. So does volume control and mute.

Cons: Size of USB device blocks usage of multiple ports. Distortion is common, at times to the point where dialog is unintelligible. I checked the headset on another computer with the Sound Adapter and without and there was no fault with the headset. .I may have to look into purchasing another similar device.Some have mentioned that several USB devices connected at the same time would cause issues. The only other USB device plugged in is a Bluetooth receiver for the mouse.

Overall Review: Maybe you get what you pay for. Maybe there is substance to some negative reports. Always thought they were written by those who couldn't spell and didn't know how to either use, set up or purchased for the wrong purpose.

Pros: Needed to use headphone with microphone on laptop without mike jack (has built-in mike). Installed software of W7 - volume control and mute works on device. Don't know about 7.1 sound - don't think I have anything that has it or would know the difference if I heard it.

Cons: none so far

Overall Review: Inexpensive, seems to do the job, durability - only time will tell.

Pros: Works fine, have previous experienced ownership of two other Plextor drives with good results.

Cons: Included Roxio software unimpresive

Overall Review: I don't know much about benchmarks and the like, but I do know that when I want to do something with my Plextor drive, they have always worked.
