Great board for the price

MSI Z87-G55 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI Z87-G55 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: -blue and black, the color scheme I like best -Z87 chipset means all SATA III ports so it'll be speedy regardless of which port I plug into -Plenty of PCIE for graphics cards and peripherals -4 USB 3.0 ports in the back and one header onboard for 2 more -UEFI BIOS doesn't look bad, not the best layout, but preferable to the BIOS of the past -Can easily tweak (if you look for them, not easy to find, not hard to find) processor and RAM clocks and timings

Cons: -Wish there was even more onboard USB 3.0 but realistically, I've got 6 of those ports now so I'm not exactly lacking -Wish 8-pin CPU power was closer to the edge of the board

Overall Review: SOMEBODY mentioned that this shouldn't be a board for anyone wanting to overclock and I will agree with them in terms of using OC Genie because it won't even get close to a decent overclock. But for those looking to manually overclock anyway and skip the genie, this board is fantastic on a budget. My Core i5-4670k is running at 4.5 GHz just fine because I set them myself and tested. Don't fear that those settings are "locked out" or anything like that

Great Card

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: -TwinFrozr cooler is very good at what it does. 100mm axial fans and the aluminum fin stack with 4 heatpipes keeps things cool; haven't gone above 60 C -Very quiet. Fans run about about 50% speed during gaming and during normal use, about 34% speed, at which point it's virtually silent -Decent factory core speed overclock -Baseplate which will hopefully keep it straight for a bit longer (mostly, it is a heavy card after all) -For those not inclined to manually overclock, MSI Gaming app offers easy one-click core speed overclocking and adjusts the fan profile accordingly

Cons: -Doesn't have a backplate (pretty much not necessary except for looks on this card) -PCB is brown for whatever reason, guess MSI thought it was close enough to black -Buzzing sound present when in-game (though it's only audible if you put your ear directly next to the card)

Overall Review: I was lucky enough to get working codes, so I actually got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist with the card, making it an even better value. Also note that the heatpipe finstack has the fins positioned horizontally instead of vertically like most other aftermarket coolers. This makes far more sense (to me at least) than vertical fins because the back of the bracket has vent holes. Due to the axial fan design, heat will always exhaust into your case, but the proportion that does is important. If the finstack is vertical (air moves up and down), ALL of the heat is thrown into the case, rendering the vent holes in the rear bracket essentially useless. If the finstack is horizontal (air moves left and right) at least SOME proportion of air has a CHANCE to go through the vent holes in the rear bracket which means there's that much LESS hot air your case has to deal with. Just my two cents on how airflow works with this cooler, so know that it may not be the correct interpretation

Standar solid optical drive

Pros: Does what an optical drive should at a good price.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Optical drives are rarely necessary anymore, but I got this for those rare times I need one and from what I've seen so far, it's simply a solid choice for an optical disk drive

Huge bang for buck

Perixx MX-2000B Ergonomic Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse Adjustable Weight 5000 DPI RGB Backlit
Perixx MX-2000B Ergonomic Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse Adjustable Weight 5000 DPI RGB Backlit

Pros: -Multiple (4) DPI (or CPI) settings -Color glow color can be adjusted -Textured sides for grip -Quality two-color braided cord -Matte surface

Cons: -My scroll wheel squeaks a little when trying to scroll up a lot very quickly -DPI (or CPI) setting lights color can't be changed. I've read many people say there's was only blue, but mine's only green. Luckily, I'm just fine with it either blue or green

Overall Review: Comes with extra feet for if you need to replace worn ones down the line. There's also 7 weights at about 4 grams each and they will all fit very nicely in the base of the mouse if you want to put all of the weights in.

Very good for the price

EVERCOOL HPQ-12025 120mm Ever Lubricate CPU Cooler
EVERCOOL HPQ-12025 120mm Ever Lubricate CPU Cooler

Pros: -Doesn't cover ANY of my RAM slots at all -Direct touch heatpipes are a bit better for heat transfer -Looks good :D

Cons: Mounting instructions could be a bit clearer and a bit better designed. If I were to set up the mounting brackets myself, I would've needed at least 3 arms to do so.

Overall Review: I don't claim to have the most knowledge about things like this, but I'd say this tower cooler punches well above its price point. Ambient temperature where I am is about 22 degrees Celsius; this cooler keeps it at 26 on idle and temps don't go above 62 when I'm gaming.

Great CPU

Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K
Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K

Pros: It's an Intel Core i5 processor. What's more to say?

Cons: I probably got one of the lower-end chips. Not even considering temps since I'm on air, but I can only clock it at 4.5 GHz without feeding it massively more voltage. Inherent probability in the manufacturing and distribution process so doesn't warrant an egg off

Overall Review: DO NOT BUY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN IVY BRIDGE OR PROBABLY EVEN A SANDY BRIDGE!!!! This chip will run hotter than Sandy Bridge and isn't a massive improvement over Ivy Bridge. I bought this and am very happy with it because it's for my first personal custom build and because I wanted the Z87 chipset for its increased SATA III support over the Z77 chipset. If you have a Sandy Bridge or an Ivy Bridge, this processor isn't enough of an improvement to warrant buying this and a new motherboard unless you're specifically going for the Z87 chipset and and its increase in SATA III support.
