Great Sub Made Even Better By The Price
Pros: This woofer has given me big, rich base that has turned a good five piece set of Polk audio speakers into a fantastic 5.1 Polk/Yamaha theater experience. I LOVE! my living room sound system and this sub was the "cherry on top". Additionally the price was well below other woofers I saw at the time, even some that had been used!
Cons: None
Overall Review: I am not a RAGING audiophile but I do put in a lot of of homework when it comes to frequency range, RMS/wattage, size of the room in which the speakers were being installed, etc. This woofer sits in the corner and add to any music I put through it from classical to techno to metal to swing to jazz.
It's a wire stripper, how could it fail?
Pros: It strips wires with ease which, coincidentally, is exactly why I bought it!
Cons: None
Overall Review: I used these to strip 14 gauge speaker wire for a 6 piece sound system in my living room and they did so very easily. To be honest though, I can't think of what can go wrong with pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers or what-have-you. I guess you could have dull cutting edges or off-set pain or or whatever but this product didn't have any of those problems.
Another Perfect Processor from Intel
Pros: While AMD has never done me wrong I cannot ignore the numbers; Intel processors are just more powerful. This processor has never given my a single headache, it deals with Havok, Unreal, PhysX, Crytech and everything else I have thrown at it over the last year with out so much a single hiccup. This is a fantastic product that I'd recommend to almost anyone for almost any type of computer.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Processors either work or they don't so I admit that if this were not a 5 egg review it would be a 1 egg review. That being said I have used Intel in two of my three personal machines and over the last 8 years and Intel never fails me. Additionally, my super fast SSD removed the "weakest link in the chain" and since my main drive no longer being a significant weak spot the games I play are able to load less than 5 seconds (and yes I did count).
Corsair RAM Does It Again
Pros: Fast, reliable memory that posts correctly on the first try and, a full year later, behaves like the first day I powered it on! I have had good experiences with GSkill and OCZ as well but I tend toward Corsair since they have literally never failed me whether I am using their PSUs, Ram or even SSDs. If you can, always guy Corsair.
Cons: None
Rock Solid and Higher Performance Card from EVGA
Pros: I have played Diablo 3, World of Tanks, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, X-Com: Enemy Unknown, Planetside 2 (beta and release), Borderlands 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops and King's Bounty on this card (among others) over the past year and my frame rate just never suffers unless I really stress the video setting on purpose. EVGA has never let me down in low or high demand applications.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Video cards seem effected obsolescence more quickly than any other components in that "next week" there will be a new super card on the shelf. I would very rarely (if ever) recommend buying top-of-the-line. Furthermore, it is easy to get wrapped up on 10 more FPS for only X more dollars; remember that when you are not comparing cards side by side you wont notice the drop from 100 to 90 FPS. This card was not top of the line when I bought it but a year later it still gives me clean, smooth with medium to high setting and 1920 x 1080 resolution on all games I play.
Corsair Delivers on Quality ... Again
Pros: This speedy 90 GB was my first SSD and while I did RMA my first drive, the second one had the same "problem" which turned out to be the disc my OS was installing from; I have no doubt my first drive would have worked fine. This SATA III SSD is feels like riding in an F1 race car when my friends are riding bicycles. I am planning on buying a second drive for a RAID 0 to increase my storage space soon.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Corsair really feels like the Porsche of the computer world in that the couple extra bucks for performance and quality you put down really DO give you your moneys worth. I have used their PSUs, RAM and now SSDs. I have never once been disappointed with any product from Corsair.
