Effective cooling, low price

Pros: It's rare to get this kind of performance for such a low price. At $35, I wasn't expecting much from this cooler. It actually keeps my Haswell cpu under control, as long as it isn't overclocked too hard.
Cons: The mounts can be a pain, but they aren't that hard to figure out.
Overall Review: This cooler isn't as good as my old trusty Noctua cooler, but it comes in at a much lower price point too. If you intend to overclock hard, I would pay more for better cooling. Otherwise, this cooler is great.
Looks good on the outside, but...

Pros: Sleek, very thin bezel, looked very good on my desk.
Cons: 1920x1080 is very pixellated at 27". This monitor might look good, have a fast response time, nice color, etc., but that means nothing to me if I can actually see the pixels in diagonal lines. I RMAed it.
Overall Review: Coming from an old Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitor, I was expecting better resolution, smoother lines, and somewhat crisp text. As soon as the "Asus" splash screen appeared, I noticed the pixellation. I really think we are all becoming spoiled by the high resolution smartphones and tablets. I would spring for one of the higher end Asus monitors. Don't get caught up in the "outer beauty" of this one.
Great CPU

Pros: Runs strong. Overclocked easily to 4.7ghz with an inexpensive Hyper 212Evo cooler. This is plenty fast enough for my needs.
Cons: Runs hot. In a Gigabyte Z97 board with default bios settings, it was hitting 100C under load! As many other people did, I checked the cooler thinking it wasn't mounted right, but it was fine. I guess the 4790k really does run that hot. I'd suggest going into the bios and getting the temps under control before doing anything else.
Overall Review: This is a very fast, very hot cpu. I think Gigabyte boards are somewhat overclocked right out of the box. I found out that "Auto" translates to "as fast as possible," so you might have to go in and set some things manually just to get the temps down.
Great hard drives so far

Pros: 3tb, fast, cool, very quiet. I have ten of these in all, and none were DOA (I was expecting at least one bad drive). The new shock-absorbing packaging seems to be working!
Cons: 3tb. It's hard to give up two of these in a raid6.
Overall Review: So far, these are great hard drives for my raid setup. Massive storage compared to the 5-6 year old 1tb Hitachis they replaced. I can use fewer drives now.
Nice looking cables

Pros: I was surprised at how good these 3ware cables look. They are well-made and easy to work with. Not bulky and hacked up like the set of Adaptec cables I had.
Cons: Expensive
Good drives for the money

Pros: I caught these on sale and bought them to expand raidset. All five drives are good, no DOAs.
Cons: none
