Pros: Cheaply Price for a $99 Cherry atom PC investment
Finger Print scanner worked great on any fingers, but make sure your fingers is clean well before the setup.
Work great on my Vizio 4K, pick up the 2160p and scale my TV perfectly without any setting change.
One dock is included just to clear thing up.
Nice simple, small, aluminum, and quality case.
MicroSD card slot up to 128GB
Nice multicolor keychain hole like LED indicator
Run on battery for those quick access you need when there are no extra power plug outlet.
Fast bootup with no BIO screen
Cons: It get warm fast, on for 30 mins and surfing web, play some Youtube and Netflix for severals minutes
No VGA or DVI port on dock. It is no use if your working office environment has LCDs screen with VGA or DVI only.
Try 4K content on Youtube and Netflix, but the AC Wifi seem to slow down and buffered a lot. Need a dock with 1000Mbps wired network to run it well on 4K content (I have 100Mbps download internet speed)
No upgradable memory or eMMC storage, but is expected.
No other cable provided. Only AC power adapter.
No 3.5mm or optical port for audio. Running only thru HDMI cable (You can use a Bluetooth speaker with it)
Load some website with video can be a little slow. (Could be the Wifi fault)
This review is from: NETGEAR R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Smart Home Router
Pros: Coming from DLink DIR-655 Rev1 with last me for 6 years and counting, it still work, but I needed a more solid and farther WiFi Router thru wall and it delivered.
Dual band 2.5GHz and 5GHz ( Better coming from DLink 655 single)
Little better range in N, haven't test AC, bc of leak of device yet (note AC is only in 5 GHz band with only WPA2-PSK) Future proofing my WiFi BAND choice too.
No drop WiFi signal
No Router reboot
NetGear GUI is easy and fast response
If you EVER work with a Home WiFi Router before this is no different
Free Android/iOS app for some quick setting
USB port option to add a USB3 hard drive or printer
Two screw hole to mount to wall
Simultaneous Dual Band WiFi signal
Cons: These are some small gripe, don't really bother me, but may for other
It black and no white version available to better match the wall
Router is is a big in size compare to my DLink at least double the size.
Antennae maybe too large( but is necessary)
Not cheap, but it the fastest for now
Wish had more Wire Network Port
Other Thoughts: If you what to upgrade from a single band G and N band router and want the best N/AC this is for you.
Devices connected to my new router all 4 wires used for desktop PCs, switches, PS4, and Nas box. Wifi used with phones, Tablets, 4 IP Cams(different brands)
The ASUS RT-AC66U was my other choose. Local store availability is better with the Nighthawk. At the end of the day better price win me over compare to the Asus. Return the Nighthhwak to ($200) W mart and got the better price $160 (Newegg.com)
Pros: Good price on sale @ $150 w/ free shipping
Fast, clean, web GUI
Cons: Need more Adjustment for motion capture
Pane and tilt need more interval
need to improve camera sensor true resolution
need to improve fps(this the same for all low budget Hi-res camera)
Like all IPCam this don't give more info in each setting, it more trial and error
Other Thoughts: I have and owned Foscam, Trendnet, Compro, Asante, and now Edimax IP Camera. The best video qualities would go to the Asante, it seem to be closed to the 720p resolution. I use this edimax pointing out to a window, so the night vision is useless for me, but it show decent black and white videos. The Edimax would be more under 720 quality sensor and not the 1080 resolution the company listed. But the GUI surpass all the brands listed in speed and ease of use. The layout is simple and not too complicated. Sdcard works great, but I also use ftp to nas. Ftp was a little tricky to get it working you have to know the name convention to the saved to folder. Wireless work for my Dlink Dir655 N router. From 40 feet away with clear path, it maintain excellent connection signal. I think it worth $150.
It seem like all brands IPcam lack one thing or the other. This one is getting closed to all around best ipcam that I have it. Time will tell if it stay running will and more firmware support
