Great little project board

ECS KBN-I/2100 (V1.1) AMD E1-2100 Dual Core processor AMD Kabini (SOC) Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU / VGA Combo

Pros: Was very impressed by this little board and the features it did contain for the price I paid and it's power consumption.

Cons: Can be slow, no 1600 :(

Overall Review: I use this as a project board for all my weekend nonsense. PFsense, Linux distros, freenas, owncloud, plex and all sorts of random junk. Sure it isn't very fast, but that is a given. I purchased a cheap intel NIC on Fleabay so I can have easy access to driver compatibility. Great for projects that don't require much

Works alright

SYBA SY-PEX40039 2 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 Card
SYBA SY-PEX40039 2 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 Card

Pros: Card works great with minimal effort. Was using it until I could get a real raid card for my pc

Cons: Does not play with ESXI, so I had to get a RAID controller when I converted my PC to ESXI

Overall Review: None, still works with my other PC, just no good in ESXI. However, ESXI never said it was supported and vice versa. No hard feelings

Rock Solid!

SNT SNT-125B Black 3.5" SATA Hard drive to 5.25" Bay SATA Mobile Rack Removable Hard drive kit
SNT SNT-125B Black 3.5" SATA Hard drive to 5.25" Bay SATA Mobile Rack Removable Hard drive kit

Pros: Initially got this for backups of media, but this later turned into another hotswap bay for my ESI server. The fan on bottom keeps everything nice and cool. I have a 2TB WD 7200RPM black and have no speed or controller issues. Build is very sturdy, including the internal housing for the drive

Cons: The latch is a pain, If you have large fingers, it can be a pain to close the latch and lock it. -1 egg

Overall Review: None really, would buy again!

Oh MY!!!

XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Double Dissipation Edition Video Card R9-280X-TDFD
XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Double Dissipation Edition Video Card R9-280X-TDFD

Pros: Used for Bitcoin mining initially and made me back my investment! Got 2 of these and one of th MSI. These guys run about 7 degrees cooler than all the other cards I have had on average. Later used 2 in crossfire and kicks tail!

Cons: ZERO!!!! No seriously guys, these have been the best GPUS I have purchased for this price range ever!

Overall Review: Wish the casing was slightly lower near the Power...

Works great

Apevia CVTUSB32 USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 Converter Cable
Apevia CVTUSB32 USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 Converter Cable

Pros: Craftsmanship is great, and was extremely easy to connect. Looked at some cheaper ones, but very glad I went with this one. No issues connecting or finding a place for the cable to lay. No connectivity issues, and the speed is perfectly acceptable for USB 2.0.. In other words, the speed is consistent with that of my back usb ports

Cons: ZERO!!!

Overall Review: Wish they mad an 90 deg. But that is for another unrelated project

Love this little board!!!

ASRock H61MV-ITX LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
ASRock H61MV-ITX LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great little board that has not been crowded with features or a complex bios. This is great for just about anyone wanting something small and fast! Everything I throw in it, it usually picks up well and runs with it. Including my I7, Samsun SSD, R9280x and 16GB RAM from Crucial (LP) I have had absolutely no issues with this board and will probably start using this in all my ITX builds, unless I need a different socket of course.

Cons: ZERO!!!

Overall Review: Some people will be sad/frustrated it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. This makes it a much better fit for the budget conscious that wants rock solid performance! If you are thinking about this board and you don't need OC or USB 3, go ahead and buy this guy!
