Pros: They'll let you RMA defective units until the cows come home, but fix them? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!
Not the first time to deal with their RMA folks, but will definitely be my last outside of court.
Cons: I've RMA'd this unit 4 times. Actually bought two of them ... one works fine, no problems. The other has made the trip to Cali 4 times. When it comes back, will USUALLY boot a couple of times before it decides it has no HDD or other boot device.
Not sure what it takes to get a computer fixed ... I know they insist that if I open the case it will void the warranty.
Other Thoughts: When they work, Asus products are great. If they don't, you're up the creek without a paddle.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Don't know yet, still in shock. Listing shows 1 year warranty, Lenovo computer when setting up shows only 6 month warranty.
Cons: If you advertise that you offer a 1 year warranty, you need to give a 1 year warranty. Anything short of that is probably considered fraudulent. We purchased 2 and are trying to return as we purchase for resale. My customers demand I deliver what I promise, and I don't want to open myself to legal problems for lying about warranty. No one will purchase and Item if I only give 6 months warranty.
Other Thoughts: This is not the first time I've posted a review on this product. New Egg really needs to take this third review and display it instead of saying the product hasn't been reviewed. Not really fair to shoppers.
The image taken of the registration screen (and already sent to the vendor and to New Egg) of these computers shows that the total length of warranty is 6 months, of which several days were already used up even though I had only turned machine on that AM.
This review is from: iBUYPOWER AMD Configurator Gaming Computer
Pros: Looks nice, well packaged.
Cons: can't use the unit ... someone there decided to install a damaged power supply.
The shipping box was pristine, as was the product's box inside (and very nicely package) was also pristine ... not a single nick or dent.
So, I unpack the unit, and the case is beautiful ... absolutely no damage.
When I open the case to take out the packing material I can see that some genius decided to install a physically damaged power supply. It had been hit on something so hard that it literally broke the anti-tamper seals. The bottom of the power supply is pushed up between 1/4" and 3/8" where it was struck with something.
I called support, no answer so I called sales at iBuyPower. They accused ME of damaging the power supply ... not acceptable. Refused an overnight PERIOD. So, I have a problem. Not going to wait another 7 days for them to slow boat a part to me.
Other Thoughts: Would I recommend this product to others? Don't think so, simply because of the lack of support and the flippant attitude of their sales person.
I wish Newegg would allow us to post pics of the damage here.
