ASUS G75 Series - 17.3" - Intel Core i7-3610QM - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M - 12GB Memory DDR3 1600 - - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit ()

Pros: This laptop is a great desktop replacement and an awesome gaming machine! I like how big the display is, the power of the i7 and 670M graphics. I also like the dual HDD bays so I could put in an SSD. It really is a great machine. The material of the laptop is very high quality. I was amazed at how nice looking it was seeing it for the first time in person. This product also came with a free backpack which is very nice and fits just fine.

Cons: Not a big fan of the touch pad, so I got a mouse to go with it.

Overall Review: Just remember that this is a "desktop replacement" computer. It's not really meant to be on battery life for very long and it's a bit cumbersome to have on your lap when you're sitting on your living room couch. It's really best having it at a desk where you can plug it in. I was however surprised on the weight of it. It wasn't as heavy as I had expected. When I first booted up the computer, it was rather slow due to HDD bottlenecking and bloatware. It runs SO much better after installing an SSD and installing a clean copy of windows. Makes a HUGE difference! Highly recommended product!

ZALMAN CNPS9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
ZALMAN CNPS9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: - Looks nice with blue LEDs and copper. - Installation is fairly easy - Still works after 2 years of use

Cons: - Fan does not auto adjust and must be manually adjusted - If manual fan controller is not connected, your fan will run at 100% and sound like a jet engine. - only provided me with 10c lower temps over stock hsf - High price for minimal performance See Other Thoughts

Overall Review: Honestly this should be going for under $15. It's really disappointing to get a product with such high reviews perform so poorly. I would have completely different thoughts about this product if it were cheaper. This should really only be used at stock clock settings or very small overclocks. After 2 years of this, I decided to spend another $60 more on an all in one water cooler instead and am now seeing temps 30-40 degrees Celsius lower than this one. Do yourself a favor and get something with more bang for your buck like a hyper 212 and I'm sure you'll get better performance than this at a much lower price.

Solid as a rock

Intel Core i5-2500K - Core i5 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I52500K
Intel Core i5-2500K - Core i5 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I52500K

Pros: I have owned this cpu for over a year now with an overclock of 4.5Ghz @ only 1.26v. Runs at 50c Max w/ my corsair H110 on Prime95 Blend torture runs 25 hrs straight. -Does very well in games -Overclocking is amazing -Runs very cool and uses low power -Keeps up with current CPUs in today's market -Should be able to keep this one for a while

Cons: My only con is that it does not support PCI-E 3.0. However, I have not seen any convincing benchmarks to show any real benefits of PCI-E 3.0 over 2.0 yet. Even w/ my GTX 780 I still get really great FPS in games.

Overall Review: This is probably the best and most long term cpu I've ever owned. This was definitely worth the price I paid 2 years ago (around $220 I think). I'm planning on keeping this for a while.

Excellent

CORSAIR Hydro Series H110 Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 280mm (CW-9060014-WW)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H110 Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 280mm (CW-9060014-WW)

Pros: - Large radiator and 2 x 140mm fans - runs 30-40 degrees Celsius at full load vs. my copper zalman - Noise was not overbearing for me and relatively quiet - Makes my case look less cluttered - Nice quality - Brought on sale for a good price ~ $100 - Works with the original NZXT Phantom Full Tower Case

Cons: - Installation took time and was kind of a pain, mostly the backplate. - I had to remove the heatsinks from my high profile ram in order to get it to fit but that was mainly because of my case not the cooler.

Overall Review: I bought this because my zalman 9500 just wasn't cutting it and was only achieving about 10c above the stock hsf. I currently own an i5 2500k oc'd to 4.5Ghz and needed something to keep my temps under control. I went from 75-89+ temps with my old hsf at full load to 40-55 temps at full load with the h110. I was absolutely amazed that it could have dropped that much. I currently own an NZXT Phantom Full Tower case and I have it set up in push/pull configuration. I was really skeptical about AIO coolers mainly due to people in forums giving them a bad rap but I think if you can get a good deal on it and you set it up right with proper air flow in your case, then they are definitely amazing and you will see results.

great expansion

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm PC Game
Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm PC Game

Pros: The campaign and continuation of the story were all great. Cool new units in the single player with interesting abilities. Kerrigan abilities were also amazing. I like that ultras got buffed in mp and it doesn't require a lair for burrow research and overlord speed.

Cons: I feel like zerg in multiplayer didn't get as many interesting units as did terran. Vipers are really only good vs. colossus and maybe tanks. Swarm hosts are good but cost 200 gas per unit. I feel like zerg needed 1 more special ability like burrow charge for ultras. I was a little disappointed in hydras, I thought they'd be a little better. I don't play terran or protoss so I can't say much about them.

Overall Review: Overall I think it's an amazing game and would recommend it to any gamer!

Reliable for several years

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Have had this drive for almost 4 years now and it still works great. It's been reliable and performs great. Temperatures are lower than my seagate and hitachi drives.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Originally bought this for a desktop build back in 2008. I've kept it in a media/storage server for a couple of years now. Works great!
