Good but loud when fans at full speed

Sunbeam NUUO SUNNU550-US-BK 550 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply
Sunbeam NUUO SUNNU550-US-BK 550 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply

Pros: Moduler - only use cables you need. Cables are round and sheathed in black. Front panel for fan speed control and temp monitor.

Cons: Pretty quiet at low speed. Automatically speeds up if hot and makes a horrible racket.

Overall Review: I plan to remove the PS next weekend and remount it with a rubber gasket to see if that will help.

Seagate STAM2000100 2TB GoFlex Home Network Storage System
Seagate STAM2000100 2TB GoFlex Home Network Storage System

Pros: Simple to setup. If you want to hack it, it's possible to ssh into the thing from the local network side. The password includes the serial # printed on the bottom. It's running Linux and SAMBA, and you can download and install RPMs built for the ARM processor.

Cons: The device shows up on your network as a "\\GOFLEX_HOME" and you can't change it. That's fine if you only want one, but how about when you outgrow it and need to add a second one? Of course, if you can hack it and rename it that way. Also, the backup software that comes with it is a trial version.

ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe LGA 775 Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe LGA 775 Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Has every feature I'm looking for in a Motherboard

Cons: Currently out of stock :-( I'm waiting for more to come in.

Overall Review: I've contacted ASUS about the issue with the BIOS being incompatible with Pentium D 9xx series CPUs. It turns out that if you pop out the BIOS chip and send it to them, they'll reflash it for you for only $5 (return shipping included). If you don't want to wait for the shipping both ways, you can just order a new BIOS chip for $25.
